going to be weighted? Or is it still going to be fair?

I haven't had time to read the 200+ replies thread on Green going to Miami, so this may be repost material, but I am hoping that Croyle now starts taking the majority of the snaps with the first string. If the job really is his to lose, then put him where he needs to be... on the field with the team until he proves he can not handle the job.

Reerun_KC

Should be wieghted about 75% of the snaps for Croyle, 15% for Heavenly Huard and 10% for Printers...

I hope it's weighted. Huard doesn't need that much work imo. If he proved anything to me last year, it's that he can pop in and out and still be Huard.

Weighted to Croyle still his job to lose.

If they truly want to move in a different direction and hand the job over to Croyle he should take the majority of the snaps.

I agree with everyone else's opinion. If they want to get Croyle ready to start, then he is going to have to get more reps than 50/50. However, Edwards promised Damon Huard a fair shot at the starting QB spot when the re-signed him. We shall see how loyal Edwards is to Huard.

There's no competition. Huard is the failsafe option if Croyle completely tanks and pulls a Plummer.

The team didn't pay him like a starter. I don't think Huard as any illusions, he knows he's a capable backup and Croyle is the projected starter.

Huard signed a 3-year, $7.5M deal prior to the start of free agency.

He's fully aware he's a backup.

Herm does have a history of recycling QB's... Dont be surprised if Vinney T isnt in Red and Gold soon and the #3...

I'm not sure you can write off Printers that quickly. He looked about as good as Damon Huard did in the preseason. I have no problem keeping Casey Printers on as the 3rd QB. If it gets to the point where KC is past Croyle and Huard, we aren't winning that game no matter who we get at this point.

If you would have seen Printers at mini-camp you might have a different opinion. He never got anywhere near the receivers with his throws.

I want Croyle to earn the position over Huard. I agree its time Croyle get the snaps and prove that hes NFL material but lets not be so eager to start him over Huard.

Is it considered "weighted" simply because Croyle gets a larger number of snaps?

Seems to me that the staff knows what they have in Huard, and for the competition to be "fair" they need to see more of Croyle in order to make a fair assessment of who the starter should be.

I'm eager to start Croyle over Huard because Huard is not the future at QB.

We need to find out if Croyle is.

If he's not, we need to know that so that we can look elsewhere for that future at QB.

If he is, we get that first year of growing pains out of the way.

Well, considering that we've been taking our lumps for about 38 years now, a couple of more doesn't seem so bad.

Printers is the 'Wild Thing' of the NFL, the guy has 1 throw...a cannonball with 0 control.

Couldnt hurt, But he would quickly be #2... He has everything that Huard doesnt... But his injuries are to glaring... Let someone else deal with him....

His resume is 10 times what Huards ever dreamed of being...

But with those knees, I think we should take a pass....

Why? 3rd stringers are usually young guys anyway. And both Croyle and Huard get injured, I would suspect someone else would be brought in at that point if needed.

Your sarcasm aside, if we're bemoaning Printers play at QB it's time to start think about who we take with the first overall draft pick.
