<A name=395122>Dolphins | Team tells Culpepper they want to trade him
Wed, 6 Jun 2007 06:40:57 -0700ESPN.com (http://www.kffl.com/link/9) reports the Miami Dolphins (http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl) told QB Daunte Culpepper (http://www.kffl.com/player/1120/nfl) Wednesday, June 6, that they want to trade him after acquiring QB Trent Green (http://www.kffl.com/player/989/nfl) from the Kansas City Chiefs (http://www.kffl.com/team/21/nfl) Tuesday, June 5. However, Culpepper is resisting the move. "They would like to trade me in order to 'get something for me,"' Culpepper said. "However, it is my position that I have already been down that road and I am not interested in being traded."

Does he have a no trade clause? If not, what the hell does he think he can do? Welcome to Atlanta, Mr. Culpeppper.

Like Atlanta is actually going to give up anything.

The Dolphins painted themselves into a corner by trading for Green.

Culpepper is virtually untradeable now.

Yep, I have to take back everything I said and thought about Carl holding out on the Green deal; it's not the first time I've dined on crow.

I'm not sure why the Chiefs wouldn't go after him if they release him and the price is cheap. He seems to fit the offense pretty well.

Meh, anyone who can hand the ball off to LJ fits our offense.

Welcome to the Planet!

That's true - but he can also play action and run for 5 yards or throw vertical - which this offense hasn't seen.

Thanks for the welcome!

The fins AND culpepper can suck it.

He's one of the 5 most overrated QB's in the NFL & now his knee has permanently robbed him of the 1 thing he had going for him, running ability.

Everything there is to shred in a knee, he shredded...he will never be the same.

Alright!! A new :KU: fan. Welcome. Don't step in the cat shit. We have a few Wildcats and Tigers in here. We haven't been able to train them to use a litter box.

For a QB who's not likely to play anyway? I doubt it. I'd be surprised if they got anything for him, honestly.

Back to the lecture at hand. If I were King Carl, I'd call up Mr. Mueller and offer a conditional 7th round pick for Dante Culpepper.

And even then, who would you expect to pick him up?

I'm not sure anyone will be that interested in him as a backup.....
