The problem is gochiefs is showing the article and then not showing who wrote it so you have to click the link to go to WPI when he could have just said it was his or wasn't... He has done this with his work and others peoples work.. He is drawing business(hits) to a rival site on purpose... IF he wants to show off his work here he can without the link it is his work afterall...

To be completely fair, there's really NO WAY he's just "trying to increase traffic" to the WPI forums.

He's been posting links to his stories since the day he was hired at RealFootball365. He's still posting them, but his employed now happens to be WPI.

Every last link he's posted goes to a WPI article, not the forums. And the Scout.com website is so horribly, god-awfully designed that you CAN'T FIND the link to the forums once you're in an article.

Good God. I hate GoChiefs threads more than I hate Trent Green threads or Ty Law threads. Everybody says the same thing every time.

We all know there are people who hate GoChiefs. That's nice, but like it or not, he's pretty much going to stay here on the board. The same people who hate him are the ones who are always talking about him.

It's also laughable about how we have a couple of reasonable posters who stretch the truth to great lengths to try to have a mod lay the hammer down. It starts with Talking Can calling that neg rep message a threat and ends with people like rxrider bitching and whining about a link GoChiefs posted. Tell you what... you know what that link leads to already. If you don't like it, DON'T CLICK ON IT. It's that simple.

At the end of the day, posters will blow off steam about GoChiefs, some funny posts will be had, and GoChiefs will still be around contributing valuable material to the board such as high quality pictures and videos. Put him on ignore or shut your traps.you don't realize who you're dealing with

It's quite funny isn't it? Warpaint hired me to edit, and through Warpaint I found realfootball365.com. I wrote for them for a year, and was so great at it that Warpaint stole me away exclusively and made me part-owner of the site. How do you like them apples? It's certainly more than peanuts.

I rarely check my rep, so I was surprised to find this from 5-22-07.

Having never cared enough to ever actually give neg rep - what is it about working at WPI that makes gochiefs think he is something besides the future star of "40 Year Old Virgin 2"?


I've received plenty of non-threating neg rep. I find the nature of the comment disturbing, and disappointing. That is all.

IMO tc, it doesn't sound like a threat as much as it does a defense of him being a writer. Certainly he might not word it like that again, but it didn't seem malicious to me.

I never quite understand the venom against gochiefs. IMO, he brings a pretty decent knowledge of the Chiefs (better than mine, probably) to the table, and his links to pics and vids are top shelf. Who cares who lines his pockets and for how much it is?

I don't quite get the criticism of gochiefs' articles. I actively enjoy them, and am impressed at his ability to pull up specific examples of past plays to support his points.

I'll admit that it wasn't always a positive relationship with him. Long ago, back when he was a troll, he and I had a big verbal battle that finally became physical. I don't remember what started it, but when he sent me a neg rep accusing me of using "your" and "you're" interchangeably, that was it. I hired a process server to go to his house and slap him in the face with a glove, and the duel was on.

We met on a fog-shrouded field at dawn, in a local city park in a small town in Oklahoma. His weapon of choice was light sabers, but I didn't have one, so I opted to go with fists. Warily, we circled one another. He leapt in! A direct shot to my neck with his light saber! I thought it was over then, that my head would roll down to the the little chicken thing on a big spring that the small kids ride, but it turned out that it wasn't a real light saber, but rather just a flashlight with a long piece of red plastic glued to it. It didn't even hurt, and the plastic fell off, and he went with fists from that point on.

I charged, going with my favorite windmill tactic. He fought back with slaps. It was brutal. The fight seemed like it took hours, though in reality it was probably less than thirty seconds. At the end, we both slumped on the field of battle, exhausted, our will to fight still strong but our energies spent. He looked at me. I looked at him. We shook hands, and we have been friends and allies ever since.

Well, they only do it because they know it will throw you into a tizzy. When you acquire some grace, I think people will be more accepting of you in general. But, you won't listen to my suggestions on the subject because I've offered them at least 100x. This is something you'll have to learn for yourself. Thankfully, you're still very young. There is still time for you to grow.

That being said, GoChiefs is harmless. I used to have him on ignore a few years ago but he brings a lot of Chiefs information to the forum these days.
