So... on the TV -- movies or show. What are you watching?
I'm watching Dick Tracy. That's right, not only am I watching it, I am PROUD to say that I like it.
To counteract it, I watched The Godfather II this morning.

I know how those games go. Once it swings in his favor, its a struggle to get something going. I hate to say that I've been beaten that badly before in a drunken state.

I just watched You Me and Dupree for some reason. Lately I have gotten sucked into HBO HD and find myself watching stuff I usually wouldn't bother watching. It had some fairly amusing moments.
I just threw Fey Grim into the DVD player.

The mrs and I watched The Pursuit Of Happyness tonight and we both loved it,then I flipped on HBO and we caught the last half of Thinking XXX about the porn industry which led to, which led to me now sitting here having a smoke and typing this.

I haven't.
And its been a great thing.
I don't cut out TV all together, there is some stuff I catch on the DVR but my TV time has been cut drastically...it just doesn't appeal to me anymore.

Ha, nothing like that. I still like to veg out every now and then but...it just doesn't draw me in like it used too.
I have been more active...being in this area makes that pretty easy though.

I am part of the way into watching Fey Grim and if it doesn't fall apart it seems like one that is right up your ally for indy flicks. The first one, Henry Fool, was pretty good as well. Only distracting part is the actor that does the voice of Dr. Venture on the Venture Bros. is in it and that character looks and sounds almost exactly like him.

I'll make a note.
You know I hadn't watched a movie in over a month and this week being on deadline saw me vegging around the house in the evenings so I watched 5 and in order of how I liked them...
1.Blood Diamond
2.The Pursuit Of Happyness
3.Apocalypto
4.Lucky Number Slevin
5.Smokin' Aces

I will make note to check out Pursuit of Happyness and Apacalypto. Funny that I haven't been watching movies much lately either. I enjoyed the other three on your list as well.
I really liked Blood Diamond. The plot elements and writing were something I have seen before but the backdrop of the story combined with the really damn good acting of Dicaprio and Djimon Hounsou made it work quite well. Dicaprio was really f#cking good.

Agreed on Blood Diamond, after watching all 5 it's the one that still is most in my memory, just a great movie all around.
I'd heard alot about Slevin and thought it was quite slow in starting plus I'd figured out who Slevin(Harnett) was very early on.Overall though I really enjoyed the last 30 minutes or so and what a group of actors.

Pretty much my exact take on it Sleven.
There were a few good ones that were released about a month ago. Pan's labyrinth was great. Another is The Fountain which I can't decide if I liked or not but it sticks with you. Same director as Requiem for a Dream and Pi.

Dick Tracy was the only movie I ever walked out of the theater on.
I'm in the middle of watching Flags of our Fathers right now. We started it last night but paused it when our daughter got sleepy. Going to finish it up this morning.

Why? It perfectly captured the feel of the old serials.

I just finished The Godfather III.
While I don't think G3 was up to par with 1 and 2, I don't think it was as crappy as a lot of people think. The story was always about Michael's descent and redemption.
That being said, it would have been a lot better without Sophia Coppola. She's a MUCH better director than actor.

Just finished watching The Descent,I have to admit I was very leary going in as I just don't think anyone knows how to make a good horror movie anymore but this one was damn decent.
I remember reading in a thread the other day where someone had said the first time you see one of the creatures is a good whoa moment and I think they were right on.
