I only went to one game last year, but I am pretty sure that the pack band was playing it.

They didn't ban it, they just recommended that teams quit using it. Several teams still use the same version, the Chiefs for whatever reason decided to use an alternative version...

Yeah, like Arrowhead is the only place that plays this...
It's not just the song, it's the chant that goes with it. It's one of the cooler traditions in pro football IMO. The new version just isn't as clear or loud or something. I can't put my finger on exactly what the problem is, but you can clearly see people having a hard time finding the right time to chant. The crowd never really gets it right till the second time around. It makes me cringe at times, and I worry that it might be a dying tradition.
