I say 6 earned runs. His pitching clearly sucks.

I'm assuming you mean Odalis. That oompa loompa was terrible for the Dodgers. The best move we made was unloading him.

So the plan was to get behind in the count and intentionally walk Pujols so he doesn't take Perez deep again.

ROYALS NOTEBOOK
Perez has a plan for Pujols
KC pitcher says he’ll have something new for slugger, who has owned him in past.

Well, Royals fans, cross your fingers. Odalis Perez is pitching tonight against the St. Louis Cardinals, and the third batter he’ll probably face is Albert Pujols.

That’s the Pujols who is 13 for 19 against Perez with five homers and 15 RBIs. His last 13 plate appearances have included four homers, four singles and three walks.

Perez knows the numbers and said he’s excited for the challenge.

“I’m going to have something different for him,” Perez said. “I’ve been thinking what to do. I’ve been working out in the bullpen, throwing my pitches, getting my location, getting my spots.”

In his last start, Perez went three-plus innings and allowed six earned runs and 10 hits against St. Louis on Wednesday.

Well, he did get Pujols to strike out once.

More power for Odalis, I guess.
