What is the reason that John Buck only has 154 total at bats when most other players have well over 200 at bats?
Just curious if he is the everyday starter?

He's the #1 starter really, but he's been splitting a lot time with LaRue. A lot of Royals fans haven't been too happy about it. I'm personally not sure. On one hand his bat is so hot you want it in the lineup, on the other hand having "competition" for the first time with LaRue really seems to have set him off. He's gonna play more often than not, but he's usually sitting at least a couple days a week right now. With Sweeney going on the DL I wouldn't mind seeing him DH on some of these 'off' days.

Supposedly, Buck is the catcher for Meche, De La Rosa and Perez, while LaRue will catch for Bannister and Elarton. That was two weeks ago, is that still the rotation? Anyway, knowing that you should be able to change your lineup accordingly if it's a daily league. Considering we're talking about catchers, though, you're probably better off leaving an inactive Buck in your starting lineup than another guy who will give you an 0-fer. Buck thus far is a better catcher than most despite the platoon.
