We have high hopes for, but don't really know anything about WR Jeff Webb. We've only seen him in limited action as a WR and as a potential game-breaker as a KO returner. Could he be another low-round sleeper of the Herm Edwards era that makes it way into the starting lineup and curses opposing defenses for years go come?

Who is this mysterious man of mystery? This guy who Herm's been high on for the past year, enough for a pick in the Draft and enough for Herm to be throwing his name out time and time again in press conferences.

I went to some scout websites to get the skinny on how Webb plays. Now, I wasn't able to find hardly any negatives about the guys because he hasn't played hardly at all. Everybody seems familiar with his abilities, though, so if this seems like this is an overly positive report card, that's why.

The skinny: Solid size & speed. Very agile.
Extremely confident in himself. Unshakeable faith in his own talent.
Good YAC, and can go the distance if he has some room. A pure gunner for sure.
Long arms, big hands, going to be great in the redzone on jump balls.
His truest usage is working the sidelines as a vertical gunner. It seems he was physically built for this purpose.
My opinion: I see nothing but positives about a young kid with a good physical set and a lot of confidence. I think this kid could make serious strides to the starting lineup by Week 8 if Kennison loses a step or Bowe struggles. If Webb and Bowe both pan out, they're perfect compliments for the next five to eight years for a solid-to-great WR attack.

I think LJ would be a much more effective runner if we had true WR's that were threats. Of course that also requires an offensive playbook that doesn't run LJ 99% of the time on 1st down.

I know it's a little much to ask but is it possible we could actually have drafted a QB and WR's under the CP reign that will amount to something? You'd think the law of percentages would eventually catch up.

I'm actually hoping Webb improves enough to line up opposite Kennison and Bowe comes in as the third to start out. That would signal Webb has indeed learned a lot and would ease the expectation load for Bowe. WR don't usually pan out right away.

I think that Webb will be the #2 reciever and Bowe in the slot, with Parker being the 4th reciever. In my opinion Croyle, Bowe, and Webb are definatly going to be the future of KC.

I hope the dude pans out. I really really do. I just want someone to take the pressure off of LJ. He is a hell of a pounder, but the dude is quick enough to make monster plays. If we can get a receiver to take 8 guys out of the box, and the playcalling to support it, we could do better than expected this year, provided Croyle isn't a toolbox

Sure, we have receivers with wheels, I just haven't seen any plays designed for them to do this.

Hey! NOBODY celebrates a routine 4 yard reception like Samie Parker.
