How often do you envy people in prison for the free time that they have? I mean, sure, there's probably some noise and you have to have a roommate and maybe you're afraid to take showers, but seriously, free room, free food, free weight room, and I'm not even sure you have to do your own laundry. Give me a year in prison and I'll bet I could crank out two books.

um, I'd rather have some responsibility than have big bubba explore my a$$hole

Never, but it is an interesting way of looking at it.

I'd die without my internet. I'm addicted. I'd be in my cell dreaming about my computer while having the shakes.

Eh, I'm the same way; although I've tried to scale it down a bit.

I've seen on the history channel this supermax prison somewhere where they give you your own room with a tv and stuff, let you exercise every day and give you not just breakfast but also dinner in bed and I thought that would be more like a luxury resort for some of these guys that come from the poor inner city type areas and whatnot. Sure there's basically no human contact and if your in one of those prisons it's probably for life, but I think I could be relatively happy in one.

There was another one that was like a Martha Stewart prison except for murderers and rapists and stuff. Don't know how it worked but people could walk around freely in and out of their cells and had jobs and could do almost anything. And apparently everyone mostly got along fine.

House arrest seems pretty cool.

No beer in prison. I'll pass.

If it's a jail vacation we're talking about, Mr. Rain Man, put me in the Grand Hotel Quisisana for repeat offenders.

Otherwise, nolo contendere.

Envy isn't the right word as I wouldn't willingly trade places with them but I am annoyed by the fact that criminals receive free many amenities that law-abiding citizens work to pay for.

Lady prison is like a Sandals resort with free wi-fi.

Or so I've been told.

Man, I made a mistake and actually started thinking about this.

With all respect, no friggin' way, Mr. Rain Man. If I want to hop in my car and go to a bar or the movies or a restaurant, I can. Not to mention the ability to spend as much time as I want with the beautiful and witty Mrs. FAX and FAX Jr.. It would be extremely difficult to give up those simple freedoms.

I'm not going easy like.

Give me wireless, lock down for 19 hours a day, 1 hr of exersize, and 4 hours of "Good Fellows" type dinner time and I could do a year or two without any problem. I'd miss my family and simple feedoms but I like spending time by myself.
