I've been trying to learn more about football in general: positions, offensive/defensive plays, penalties, drafts, a little salary cap, etc. I've really fallen in love with the sport in general.

Now, I'm wanting to learn more about the Chiefs in particular. I'm learning alot by lurking in threads and asking stupid questions in others. But that's more recent stuff. Are there any good books that you would suggest to learn more about the history of the Chiefs: players, coaches, franchise in general?

I'm also wanting to expand my limited library, too. :)

I thought I'd hit Barnes & Noble later today, and I want to have a few things in mind to look for.

Thanks a bunch.

I can't afford all of them right now, but I will work on getting them over the course of the summer.

From all the reading you've done you probably know more than the average fan.

I tend to have an obsessive personality. I find something I like, and I want to know as much about it as I can. I don't want to be an average fan. No fun being average. :)

I'm sure you know more about specific plays and positions than I do. I don't know the difference between the tackle and guard positions. They're both just linemen to me. Heh.

I have that Kansas City Chiefs Encyclopedia.
It's pretty good. Has a list of all the season records, game by gaem, player bios, etc. It's kind of more of a reference book than a chronological story. Though, very useful if you're a facts and figures person, or remember a certain game and want to look up the details.

Barnes & Noble had nil, zero, zilch on Chiefs. I went to Borders. They had the 2002 Kansas City Chiefs Encyclopedia, but it was $40. B&N online was $32. I may wait until the next time I come up to KC to check out their B&N before ordering online. I hate to pay S&H for something I can get in person.

Huh? I asked him for his preseason tickets. I was planning to go to the one game I get to go to each year as a birthday present.
