When was the last time the Chiefs pulled a QB in the middle of a game for poor performance? I really can't remember.

We tend to pick up pretty stiff coaches who start their seasons with a philosophy and under no circumstances do they alter it.

Honestly, I can't remember either.

Gannon

Grbac was pulled for Gannon against the Seahawks about midway or a little more into the 98 disaster season. Grbac came back from injury, Gannon was benched because so, but a couple games later, the Seattle game, they pulled Grby at halftime for Gannon because he was stinking so bad. But then Grbac was gone back to about a couple three games later.

It's almost weird and a little spooky. I'm guessing we'll see it this year and we aren't used to it.

I don't recall us ever pulling Green for performance.
Don't recall us ever pulling Grbac for performance.
Don't recall us ever pulling Bono for performance.
Don't recall us ever pulling Montana for performance.
Hell, we even let Moon play the whole game, earning us the "1" in "1 and 15".
We did demote Krieg from starter to backup but that is fairly different. I don't recall ever pulling him for performance.
I can't even recall who QBed before Krieg.

IIRC Bono didn't finish the 4th qtr of the '96 Chargers game at home. They were beating us 28-7 and he couldn't do squat.

Are you sure Grbac didn't reinjure something? I have no specific recollection of that game but it seems like I recall Marty's mantra of "you don't lose your position to injury" a couple of times that year.

When was the last time a kc chief qb made you cream your pants?Well, that would require a certain kind of poster, and a certain kind of QB. And then they'd have to get together.

I think the whole scenario is unlikely at best.

So maybe once 9 years ago and maybe once 11 years ago? That is incredible.

BTW, I still can't remember who QBed before Krieg and it's bugging me. Seems like it was another old guy whose name might have begun with an "M".

Rep for putting my troubled mind at ease.Deberg was pretty good for us. He wasn't much, but his play-action pass was deadly. Okoye and Word didn't hurt.

I think DeBerg was the QB when I first started getting into football. Of course, I never really focused on him- just had fun watching Okoye run into people, lol.

My bad. I guess I'm still a little into basketball mode.

I was just a kid playing JV football.

That's the way I remember it anyway.
