Aerogardens... anyone used one?

I suck at gardening. I have a black thumb from all the plants I've killed. I have killed a fake fern... it's true.

Aero Grow (http://www.aerogrow.com/) makes this hydroponic garden... no dirt, very little maintenance. I've read some online reviews and a clear majority are positive. But I was wondering if anyone has ever used one of these or has one.

I think those are mostly used to grow weed.

I'm sure they could be... but I'm actually wanting it for herbs for cooking.
