he's on the roids PBJ

Per rotoworld

Neifi Perez was suspended on Friday for 25 games for testing positive for a banned stimulant.

If I were GM, I would trade Jermaine Dye for him. That would be a great trade.

Hahahahahaha.

Neifi's line.

.172/.221/.266 for an OPS+ of 29.

How can you take a banned substance, and still suck?

What he needed a stimulant to stay awake on the bench.

He took steroids yet he was a horrible baseball player. I was under the impression from all the Barry bashing threads that steroids made the player...

Steroids are not stimulants.

To this day, I can't believe we traded for him. Any idiot could look his splits up on ESPN, and see that the guy couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag outside Coors Field.

From Hire Jim Essien (http://hirejimessian.com/index.php/2007/07/06/breaking-news-neifi-perez-suspended-for-drug-use/):

Perez, who had generally supplied such drugs to his managers in an effort to keep himself in the starting lineup, was caught trying to dabble himself.

According to Rotoworld, “Losing Perez isn’t much of a blow to the Tigers given that he’s hitting .172 with a .487 OPS.”

Dusty Baker could not be reached for comment, as hearing the shocking news about his family friend, babysitter, starting shortstop, and best man Neifi Perez was too much to bear.

I wonder if a side effect of his drugs are delusions.

Neifi Perez said:
I say to my fans that I am not stupid. I know the difference between good and bad and there are things that are going to be known going forward, but my lawyer has advised me not to talk for now.

I wonder if the Tigers will appeal and try to get the suspension increased to 50 games.
