Mark Bocek http://www.cdn.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Fighter_9781.jpg Vs. Frank Edgar http://www.cdn.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Fighter_14204.jpg

My pick: Edgar. He is undefeated and he blew me away with his performance against Tyson Griffin in the early candidate for fight of the year 07.

Edgar by RNC sub in the 2nd.

Alvin Robinson http://www.cdn.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Fighter_12212.JPG Vs. Kenny Florian http://www.cdn.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Kenny_Florian2.JPG

My pick: Florian. I'm hesitant to pick him, but I think he's had more experience with big fights. I think he shines in the spotlight, and we just don't know that about Robinson.

Florian by Unanimous decision.

The Main event. For the UFC Middleweight Championship

Nate Marquardt http://www.cdn.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/nathanmarquardt.jpg Vs. Anderson Silva http://www.cdn.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/andersonsilva_profile.jpg

My pick: Silva. I think MArquardt is for sure worthy to be in the octagon with Anderson for the title, But I think Anderson is a little bit too good for him

Easily card of the year. I'm debating on wich fight will be fight of the night.

Excellent thread.

Sherk has an amazing track record, is a beast, and has amazing wrestling/jiu jitsu, but Hermes is going to give him one hell of a run, Hermes Franca is more well rounded and is a very game fighter, I'm only taking Sherk due to his track record. If Hermes can wear Sherk down, sweep him, or frustrate him standing up, then he has a chance. Sherk is too well rounded to fall into a round 1 submission, and Franca can't KO him, but if he can frustrate him & wear Sherk down, then he could be trouble come rounds 3,4,5.

Ultimately, if I had to pick I go with Sherk but this is an amazing matchup!

There was only 1 pick I had to disagree, Rashad Evans will beat Tito.

Rashad trains like an animal in the mountains at Greg Jacksons in Albuquerque, Rashad has the wrestling skills to stuff Titos takedowns and takeaway his clinches, Rashad can fight back to his feet in the event he gets taken down, Rashad has good striking skills, certainly way better than Tito's, and Tito has been floored by a Canadian amateur in Patrick Cote, Rashad is a true pro and going to beat that ass.

This is the best looking UFC card in some time, very excited!

I'll say Bocek vs Edgar or Franca vs Sherk for FOTN for me. Lightweights don't disappoint for pace and all these guys are top talents that haven't had a lot of air time.

Edgar impressed the living shit out of me with his fight vs Griffin. That was an early candidae for fight of the year!

I don't think anyone had him winning that fight.
