So I'm waiting on my special genetic line of Boar semen to be delivered like it is every Tuesday at 12:00 and here it is 2:00 and it hasn't showed. So I call our UPS delivery man and he's at home eating lunch because he's pissed at the company for working him too hard. Some people just don't get it! I've got sows in heat that need that semen! Now! Does he think they will stay in heat forever! Where does he think that ****ing Bacon sandwich came from!:banghead:

Whats special about it?

It's a special prolific Yorkshire line that I use to produce Nucleus gilts from. It's temperature sensitive and 10 bottles costs $300. I breed the 5 best producing sows weekly to this stuff and time is of the essence. Those sows started coming in heat yesterday and ovulation occurs at 24-36 hours after onset of heat.

I produce butcher hogs, about 550 per week go to the packing plant.

I understand that and wasn't intending to throw out a jab... but, reading about hog jiz wasn't what I expected to do today.

UPS makes you be a part time loader for EIGHT years before you become a driver.

He is not going anywhere.

I have a sense there will be a lot of little piggies running around in a few months with your color eyes?

Seriously, how do you get the boar jiz into the sows? Turkey baster? Or do you maybe...you know...play mister piggie?

Actually, the question I DON'T want answered is, how do they get the jiz out of the boars? Does it come from Amsterdam?

Just tell them pigs that if they are real nice to you and do all of the shit around the sty, then you will take care of them tomorrow. Thats how my wife handles this type of issue, it works.

I pity the poor SOB that has to get it ready for bottling. Visions of "whats my line?" = jacking off pigs

I work for UPS and I can tell you that isn't true. I know guys who have become part time drivers after only a couple of years at UPS.

The pork business must not be too good. I just drove from KC to Rochester, MN and I bet I saw 50 empty ferring houses along I35 on the way up here. I guess you are big enough that it works for you huh?

My bad that'd be a donkey.

So never mind.

I think for that price I'd buy a high-powered Yorkshire Boar once and let him cover the 5 sows a week. I would recommend painting down both of the Boar's sides in Hunter Orange "DO NOT BUTCHER".

BTW, has the package showed up yet?

Yes, he got it here pronto after I called him, he only lives 10 minutes away, but he should have had it here at 12:00. Thanks

Oh yeah, and to bring in outside breeding stock is a no no in this business. Unless absolutely necessary. A boar from this specific line is not yet available for purchase, but they will lease the boar to you and let you collect the semen yourself for about 15 dollars a bottle instead of the 30. Not worth the chance of bringing in a disease.

How many acres do you have?

106 acres for the facility. About 80 of it is pasture I run a dozen cows on. We don't grow any of our own grain, if that's what your asking.

Was it a Next Day Air package? If not, and it was regular ground, then there is no set time it must be delivered by.

If it was, and Hog Farmer lives out in the sticks, it's possible he has a noon commit time for his NDA. If he's WAY out in the sticks, there is no commit time for NDA. Sounds like his driver usually takes care of him, though. But as has been pointed out, UPS management can be a bunch of douchebags, and maybe the driver was trying to get a point across to his bosses.
