What do you expect them to do? Actually provide news and insight into current sporting events? You can not expect them to use that apparent free time to provide more detailed analysis or news on sports that are not quite mainstream in the USA such as cricket, soccer, etc. Surely the "worldwide leader in sports" knows what is best for us viewers.

I remember when Sportscenter was 30 minutes long... now it's almost all commercials and fluff like this that fill in the other 30 minutes.

They used to have an hour dedicated to 3 20-minute segments of Sportscenter, NFL Live, and then either the NBA show or Baseball tonight..... they should do that all the time.
