I went to a job the other day in a lower middle class neighborhood. The customer was a young, overweight guy who didn't appear to be firing on all cylinders. Then I met the wife who was very pleasant but was as broad as she was tall. She wasn't pulling a full train either. The house wasn't dirty but extremely cluttered with clothes and papers and etc. Then I met his brother who apparently lived there as well. He was totally deaf and showed signs of Downs Syndrome. After a half an hour the wife goes in the back and comes out with a 6 month old baby. I thought WTF? Why are these people allowed to breed? I later found out all three of them worked at McDonalds and were apparently making it with all three of their checks. Even though that kid will have a pretty bleak life, those people are productive, tax paying citizens. Should you need at least a license to reproduce or not? They surely aren't doing much to advance the gene pool.

I was pissed at first then thought about it. They were all happy and they delighted in calling each other stupid. It was hard to keep from laughing.

Alot of people are sometimes alittle "shy" from letting others into their home... People are always afraid that others might make fun of their home... I live in a small farmhouse, but I'm proud of what I've got, and what I've earned in my life... I've got about 500 acres I go go get lost on for a day...

Those people you mentioned, they seem content on their life, and appear very happy with what they have going on... Alot of people could live in luxury and be the most unhappy people on this earth... I've seen it before...

You don't need to apologize for your place. That 500 acres is worth more than the houses of 95% of Planet posters.

It's nice to see stupid inbred people making a living on their own. I think if they can do that, they should be allowed to breed without restriction.

They were showing me they were coping with the system. Having the brother there to help with the bills showed me that. Hey! They are problem solvers!

I used to work at McDonanlds. I still remember when I quit. I wrote out my resignation note, and carried it around in my wallet for several days waiting for the moment to deliver it. A few days later, when I was emptying the trash the odor of stale coke mixed with trash turned my stomach. I filed my notice that evening on break. I was just thinking, that if I liked the smell of coke mixed with trash, that could have been me.

...and their votes count just as much as yours. In fact, Skip, they outvote you three to one. If you live long enough-four to one.

contrary to popular belief, not all people need the lap of luxury to enjoy life or to be happy.

I think the fact that it takes all three paychecks to survive is more telling.

When you say Coke do you mean Coca Cola or do you mean Coke? You're old, aren't you?

Oh I'm not ashamed... Most farmhouses built years ago were small anyways... My plans are in 10 years are to have a log cabin built where my house is now --- with a basement of course for the manly game room and t.v. room... I love it where I'm at... My driveway sets about 1/2 mile off the highway and is very secluded... It's a great place for outdoor parties...

If minimum wage was increased then they wouldn't have those jobs.

It amazes me how some people think they're better than others based upon wealth and/or appearance. I probably fit in the catagory of wealth you just described.Only difference it's one paycheck taking care of a family of four. But, I sure as hell don't draw a dime from the govenrment and I work my ass off 5-6 days a week. You put your pants on one leg at a time just like me.

If minimum wage was increased they would lose their jobs more then likely, and a overall cost of living increase would go up.. The last minimum wage increase recently forced a couple of places like Perkins to let go of all of their bus boys...
