you don't put water into a rainbow vaccuum? I don't think it hurts it at all but hey I may be wrong....settle the bet will ya?

It's basically the same thing as running a regular vacuum without the bag, you run all the dust and dirt right thru it and back into the room. Doing it once probably won't destroy it, but I wouldn't make a habit of it.

cool I had quite a bit of cat litter to vaccuum up and thought if there was water in ther eit would turn a nasty clay and make things worse for clean up

If there wasn't water vapor in the air, I don't think the rainbow would appear.
