Pops was into racing big time. I wish I had been able to do the car thing with him but I was too young. As a kid I did get to race motocross. I also did a father and son snowmobile race one time around Diamond lake. Pops scared the crap out of me. Looking back I wish I had raced more. Anyone else?

Big jumps are the first thing to go especially if you are not a small guy.

I began my racing career with box turtles, Mr. BIG_DADDY. I kept a stable of racing box turtles I entered in the County Fair Turtle Race each year.

Tubby was my best. He was a real scrapper and would have won if he could have looked behind himself and seen the competition coming up from behind.

Nothing :)

I volunteer to be a corner worker and I get free track time. All you need is a helmet and a driver's license.

My two daughters got to spend a lot of time at the drag strip with me on Saturday nights. Sometimes they were a lot of help, it was a family thing. Now that they are in their 30s, they have very fond memories of it.
Sorry about this picture, it is a picture of an old picture.

I've raced karts on and off since 93'. Now that my son is old enough we are doing that together now, which is fun.

I'm also in the process of building a drag car. It's a 2000 Mustang GT. I've got the suspension and fuel system done now, motor is up next. Right now I'm running a mildly modified 4.6l with a 200 shot of spray. I'm building a stroker 2v mod motor that will have a single 80mm turbo on it. Will probably get that finished this winter.

I also drag raced (read street raced) and flat track / TT quads in high school.

I raced motocross up until a few years ago. I gave it up after I broke my back and five ribs. Previous to that both arms (one twice), both scapulas, broke a femur, tib fib, collar bones, and a broken ankle.

Took up bass fishing and now have a 98mph Bullet 20XD with a Merc 250 XS. Still love to go fast.

Enduro, my buddy was in Motocross. back when I was young and dumb.

I raced Enduros in the early to mid 80's in the Blackjack Enduro Circuit. Had a blast, I prolly start that up again soon.

In the early 90's I raced Cross Country MTB but joining a band that played 3-4 nights a week killed that.

I got the kids into BMX last year... a month later I got my own bike and started racing.

#280 is me diving into the first turn in the Main. This was taken at the Hoosier National in Evansville, IN a month ago:

I have never been in as good a shape in my life as I am in now after starting BMX. On the downside I had never broken a bone before either... two cracked ribs and a broken wrist in the last 7 months!!!

I love the adrenaline rush of racing!!!

i used to run 358 modifieds and street stock on the local dirt tracks here in pa and around n.y. in the early to mid 90's.

Having kids takes the time and money away from what my wife called the metal mistress.

80cc dirt bikes as a kid. Suzuki RM 80 one season and Yamaha YZ80 the following. That was a ton of fun.

I only raced X-country in High School, sucked at it.

Did anyone see the race yesterday? "Here kitty kitty"

Then the foo has the balls to take both hands off the wheel with a few laps to go with the lead to get a sip of water.

The 20 rocks!

My Dad owns a racecar. He's been racing for over 35 years. Mostly around Missouri but have been to Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, and Arkansas.

I used to race at Bolivar and Lebanon MO. in the Street Stock division. My boys were too young to get very involved but every Sunday morning Lil Stumppy was out in the garage with me wanting to turn a wrench or screwdriver on the car.

Racing every Friday and Saturday night was the most fun I ever had with my clothes on.

I race with the Midwest Outlaw Lightning Sprints, based out of Kansas City. They are basically a midget chassis with a 1200cc motorcycle engine. These things fly! We race on mostly 1/4 to 3/8 mile dirt tracks and are usually the fastest class of cars on the track. www.molsracing.com (#58 under Profiles page)
