I came to work this morning to the news that one of my favorite co-workers collapsed and passed away last night. He was the head of our computer help team. A true nice guy. Always available, kind and helpful, without the trademark condescenting attitude of most computer "geeks." A kid at heart who loved summer FX movies and Sci Fi shows. We talked a lot about those things. In fact he was looking forward to the new "Flash Gordon" show debuting on Sci Fi tonight. I'm sure on Monday he and I would have been talking and analyzing the show extensively. Wayne was only 37 with a wife and two very young kids. I am in deep disbelief. Please say a prayer for the soul of one of the greatest guys you would ever meet, and for his family.

RIP Wayne.

Sorry to hear about your friend Frankie. 37 is way too young to go, I was darn near lost myself at that age (1 1/2 yrs ago) and couldn't imagine the effect that would have had on my wife and young children.

Damn Frankie... so sorry to hear that. I know what you're going through. One of my best friends had a heart attack and died unexpectedly one night at another radio station I worked at. He was 38 years old. I found out when I was at the stoplight a block from the station when the morning guys came on and made the announcement. He was on the midday shift on the air and I was on afternoons. The morning guys and I split his shift for the next few days. Talk about a hard day to do a show. I played a lot of music that day and not much else. We all had a meeting that morning and just cried and hugged each other. Damn, I'm getting veclempt again just thinking about it.

Prayers for you and your friends' family man. PM me if you need to talk.

Yea we lost a really good friend last night too. It's amazing how many people close to us have passed in the last few years but that's the other part of life. We will all be there soon. If I posted a thread each time it happened you guys would think I was a morbid MO. Better yet if everyone did that we could turn this into this into passingoverplanet.com
