What changes to the Chiefs organization would you make and why?

What would you not change and why?

Why would you pay him? Has he earned the money? Has he taken the Chiefs to the Super Bowl? How much will the cap be impaired by? What about the possiblity of other players getting injured during the preseason and you need additional free agents to sign?

I would erect a giant statue to myself. I would be dressed in a tuxedo with a wise and philosophical expression on my face and I would be looking upward, out toward the distant heavens and the constellation "Boobs" and, in one hand, I would be grasping Larry Johnson's jersey and, in the other hand, I would be holding a whip.

Chief Henry

I would go up to Carl's Castle and tell him to STFU
while I had my lawyers pull out his walkinbg papers.

Then I would go get The New England Patriots GM
and double his salary and have him run the Chiefs.

Why: Because that kicks ass.

Not allowed. Only old timers are grandfathered into that. I am not sure when they made the change but they did. But I guess as an owner you could lobby the proper committee and get it changed back.

This is my post and I have a statue, so you're fired.

Now, pack your stuff and send in some cheerleaders on your way out.

I would raise ticket prices and parking first. Then Id build a statue of FAX. Trade LJ as fast as I could. Fire Herm. Keep Carl in charge of making money and hire a football man to evaluate talent and help hire a good coach.

Then Id probably start a BB to find out what the fans think. And raise prices again.

With the exception of the Fax statue and the coaching and RB change, that is the current business model the Chiefs are employing.

Are you serious? This is the most ignorant post I have seen in a while. He took us to the play offs last year. Carried the ball 400+ times. He is one of the best RB's to ever come through KC. AND, he is a premiere running back that needs to get paid what he is worth. I am sorry to tell you, but without him, the Chiefs would have won around 3 games last year.

si.

the past 2 drafts have been refreshing.
I was just implying, collectively, the past 20 years of drafting have been average -possibly below average.

I should've phrased my statement better.

I'd raise ticket prices....just to seperate the 'real' fans from the rest. I don't want 80K half a**ed fans in my stadium.

then I'd figure out a way to ask for more money from the tax payers.

Actually Redrum made a good point....LJ is worth more somewhere else plus hes a poor excuse for an adult. He will not get a staue like FAX and Thomas Jefferson.

I may also have a statue of William Clark Quantrill.

Good thing you are not the owner. LJ is our team on offense at this point. Without him we will be only scoring on FG's or on D. And who cares how he acts as an adult. He's a FOOTBALL player. Since when did they have to be model citizens. As long as they abide by the law I could care less about their attitudes or dispositions. Just get in the endzone or make the tackle.

True. And if you're a parent and you let your children emulate athletes, you have failed them. Sports is a business. At one point it was a kids game, but now it is entertainment for adults. The NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. are not marketed to kids. Kids don't spend money to go to games. Adults do. Lets not kid(pun intended) ourselves on that.

It's too late to make major changes.

I'd try to sign Allen to a long term deal. If DJ plays well for most of the season I'd try to extend his contract as well. Other than that - status quo for the time being.

In a perfect world I would,

1. Fire Carl and replace him with Rich McKay
2. Trade LJ to Dallas for their 2 first round picks next year.
3. Demote Solari back to the Oline coach, hire CIN offensive coordinator
4. Replace Herm Edwards as HC with Bill Cowher
5. Hire Herm as head of scouting dept.
6. Lower parking prices and beer prices
7. Tear down Arrowhead and Kauffman and use that whole lot for building a new Arrowhead that seats over 100K. (city officials would have to agree that Kauffman would be built downtown.
8. Have training camp moved back to William Jewel College up in Liberty again. **** the weather.
9. Pay Jared Allen
10. Move Ty Law to FS, draft a CB in the 1st day of draft.
11. Make a serious attempt to sign whatever big name FA tackles there are next season, and draft a OT with our first pick.

Pay LJ
Build Tony a statue
Try to fix the O line with players not named Mcintosh
lower ticket prices
Fire Carl
Try to get a better O coordinator

I think I would leave everything, besides that, as it is. I like the Chiefs "experience" but it would be better if we won something.

What he said. And, my one thing would be to buy the royals also. Move the Royals downtown. Cover Kaufman stadium and make into a giant free to ticket holders place to crash after the game so those of you who drink too much dont have to drive home. Oh yeah, and build a 7000sf home ontop of the hill by J lot overlooking my paradise. With a huge slide down to the parking lot.

(If I am Gates rich)I Would buy my way out of Jackson County Stadium and buy the entire West Bottoms except for the Haunted houses and the American Royal Buildings.. Raze Kemper and all the other buildings and build Arrowhead two.. The stadium would be half dome(new cowboys stadium) but a lot bigger opening, just so all the noise does not funnel out(It would always be left open for football games unless a electric storm, American Royal and other venues could use the stadium with it closed).. State of the art electronics and stats updates on the screens for all the fantasy football players..

For all the buildings I razed in the West bottoms I would build a huge Hotel and couple food places(one fine, two average priced) and one massive bar... Would redo all the roads leading into and away from the area so the traffic would not be bad.. The rest of the area would be parking with a special section of parking for extreme tailgaters which would cost extra..

Oh the stadium would be 100k+.. With a giant upper bowl that held 55k+ where the ticket prices ranged from 25-50dollars a ticket.. The prices of the lower two bowls and suites would be way more expensive... This way I can get the people that have money to blow and people that want to see the game in the same place.. I would expect the normal businesses and corporate accounts to buy most of the suites and lower bowl prices so at a minimum I would expect 85k+ for each game...
