Anybody else pissed at the fact that the refs missed this call, even after review...

I was yelling at the TV for 10 min...

I know its preseason, but give me a break...

(hope its not a repost - havent seen any threads about it)

I seriously didnt understand that call at all... especially after review... the angle that they showed on ESPN LIVE and the replays they showed all clearly showed him down... I didnt get that call at all...

And again, I dont care we lost 11-10, its preseason and only the first couple quarters really count, but im sure morale would have been higher with a W...

The two refs on the backside of the play originally said no. The one ref right in front of it said yes. Unbelievable. Herm watched the replay twice before he threw the flag. You should have heard that place when the ref said the ruling on the field stands.

I guess the refs need preason too. I'd like to see the commish explain that one on a Monday morning during the regular season though. Preferrably after a game the Chiefs were not a part of.

I sat in 333 right above that endzone and people were livid about that call. It was painfully obvious that he didn't get in before his knee touched.

If the D had done their job, this wouldn't be an issue. For goodness sakes...we shouldnt have to debate a 2 pt conversion and blame refs for the miserable loss in a mean nothing preseason game.

Probably been said, but I was more irritated at the bunch of scrubs for letting them march down the field and score in the first place. And, if everyone hadn't bit on the bootleg to begin with, he wouldn't even have gotten close to the goal line.

It was painfully obvious that he didn't get in before his knee touched.

Didn't matter where his knee touched. He cudda walked in on his knees and scored. The question was if he was touched when his knee was down before the ball crossed the goal line, but the video was too blurry to reverse the call on the field (see above).

P.S. I agree that they missed the call.

That head ref was obviously high on something. Earlier in the game he couldn't even speak correctly when announcing a penalty. Somebody get his name so we can track his performance during the season. I wouldn't doubt he's in cahoots with that gambling mob associated with that cheatin' NBA ref.

that is only blurry because he took a picture of a tv screen. The video showed was very clear. And the refs see the same HiDef feeds that the people at home see.

Hum.....The replay on TV when slowed gave the crew time to draw a yellow line between the ball and the line. It was closer to the ball than the line. Not doubt during replay on TV. They had the replay and added yellow within 30 seconds. Does not matter IMO. If you rely on the refs to decide if U win R lose, U have bigger problems.

The Ref missed the call. While they missed the call I can't get mad over a meaningless game where the result is in the hands of so many players who will not even be in the league in 3 weeks.

In that shot you can clearly see Sapps hand hitting the side of the QB's helmet.

I had to laugh, it is pretty bad when the refs can't even wait for the regular season to screw you. I'd love to see the nfl's excuse on this one.

And when you are watching frame-by-frame, you see their helmets make contact even sooner......

Yeah, that was good. Herm kinda did a semi eye roll thing and gave the guy a little smile.

I'm thinking it would be better to pay the refs a salary so they would feel the need to be professionals and actually look at the plays before calling it. Just an idea.

I think the refs gave the call to Cam because he did not let the game go into OT. Reg season, that call goes the other way.

It would have been 10-9 if reversed, so no overtime. Getting the call right is more important.

He meant by going for 2 and not kicking the extra point. Extra point = 10-10 = Overtime.

Missing that call live, is understandable. But, to miss it under review, in Hi-Def, No less, is inexcusable.
