I really don't know anything about the fumbling problem.

Center snaps the ball and then it hits the ground.

According the coaching staff, he fumbles more than the rest of the QB's on the team combined...

He looked good before that fumble, that's for sure.

The guy blows as a QB. Here is his read progression: Option #1 look to run, Option #2 look to run, Option #3 look to run, Option #4 quick look downfield then run, rinse and repeat...

He's incredibly talented, that's for sure. He could certainly use a brain to go with that ability.

Honestly, if a guy has fumbling problems in the NFL, they dont just go away. He usually has those problems his entire career.

Printers has long clumsy arms... he can scramble.. he looks a little less scared and crazy every time he plays ... something is terribly wrong with his ability to take a snap though. Ultimately, I think he will make a good backup for Croyle when Huard's Alzheimer's starts kicking in.

Printers has improved noticeably over last preseason.

He does seem to be getting better (brain-wise, not fumble-wise). I think GoChiefs is right, he is getting better. He just needs to be much better to be a #2. He's got the personal drive and the athletics, just needs to pay attention to the snap and make better decisions.

More than Downfield Big Game? That is a lot of fumbles!

I'd honestly like to see Printers get some work with the starters, just to see if he's REALLY made progress. If you remember, last year Printers had to play a lot because Huard and Croyle got hurt.

I'm with GOATSE. He's played a lot in preseason games the last couple of years but never really had a chance because he never has any pass protection whatsoever playing with 3rd string offensive lineman.

I seem to recall Dave Krieg had a fumbling problem. This kid can go somewhere. I just hope it isn't Denver or Oakland.

What kind of question is this?

We might as well be asking "would Samie Parker be good if he caught the ball."

Another way to look at the question might be: "If a bit more effort was put in to developing Printers, would he still be #3?" He does get scrub time in preseason games and with our unstable QB depth chart maybe he ought to get so time with the 1st stringers in a game. Dunno, it's probably not worth worrying about, Croyle is about to start his Farve-like HOF career. :)

The reason he's been running is because the offensive line infront of him has been horse crap at BEST. He avoided at least 3, maybe 4 sacks
the short time he was in there. In a couple of other threads I posted how I would like to see him with the first team O. It only makes sense
to see what he can do.

What ever QB we have in there this season, he's going to have to scramble. Our offensive line is brutal and will have to improve enormisously for us to have a shot at 4 or 5 wins. Printers (appears)
be a play maker and can improvise. With Herms vanella offense
and our < average offensive line, our QB will have to improvise alot
and scramble even more (from getting killed) btw, whats the moist sacks a KC team has ever given up in one season ?

I would even throw this out there in prognostigation land. To say that if we start Croyle he's going to get killed this season as our QB. Why not save him one more year or half a year in this rebuilding season and let Printers run the offense for a few gasmes and use his scrambling ability to keep Croyle or Huard from getting killed.
