was at Pomme De Terre lake here in Missouri about a year ago, my wife and I took an early morning walk when the sun was just coming up (about 6am)...there was quite a bit of fog around and we heard what I could only describe as a whirring sound above us that quickly ascended out of site...we never saw anything but both of us looked at each other and tried to describe what happened...it was quite freaky.

That would be a helicopter, probably black in color.
