Official Running Back Stats - as of preseason game 3

Michael Bennett - 17 rushes for 63 yards
Kolby Smith - 13 rushes for 6 yards
Derrick Ross - 9 rushes for 36 yards, 1 fumble
Marcus O'Keith - 16 rushes for 43 yards, 1 TD

I'd keep Derrick Ross over Kolby Smith. Kolby Smith is a Fullback, not a Running Back, he sucks in my opinion. Marcus O'Keith is PS material.

It is obvious that the 4 RB's they keep if they keep 4 RB's need to be Larry Johnson, Michael Bennett, Priest Holmes, and Derrick Ross.

A WR, CB, or S will steal a spot; most likely, Scanlon's. :D

Sorry, dude; the truth hurts.

Scanlon will make it cause he can play all 3 LB positions, plus he's had a good preseason, he has 11 tackles to Nate Harris's 8 tackles, its a good battle, but Scanlon will make it. Sorry you guys cant accept that.

Parker will make it, cause of Bowe's holdout.

At CB its between Tyron Brackenridge and Justin Phinisee, but I feel after the night that Phinisee had tonight that he has the upper hand on Brackenridge.

At S Greg Wesley will make it cause of experience and being able to play all 2 Safety Positions.

There's my outlook, take it for what its worth. Oh by the way keep Derrick Ross over Kolby Smith.

I can't really take this list seriously because you said Priest makes it. Priest doesn't make it and they keep Ross and Smith both.

Tiki Barber was taught how to hold on to the ball -- I see no reason that Ross can't be taught that, too.

Priest deserves it because of what he has done for the team. I like the thought of having Priest come in on 3rd down and Goal Line situations.

He has to earn his slot just like everyone else. The only way he is on this team in week one is if he is still on PUP.

Well do the same thing to him that they did to Kris Wilson when he was on the roster, keep him until he becomes healthy. He could be ready by week 3, and then we got 3 really good running backs. LJ is the Bomb, Priest is pretty good, and Bennett is a good back.

But i'd prefer Priest to go in there over Bennett, better blocker, better runner, good receiver, can go up in over the pile. Priest could play the role of Marcus Allen at his age.

I don't disagree. I am just saying that he won't be ready for week 1 and the Chiefs will have to PUP him until he is ready so they don't have to drop a player to make room for him too early.

I know what your saying. I just hate the fact that if we put him on PUP that we have to wait until week 6 to activate him. Thats all Im saying.

Scanlon plays LOLB, MLB, and ROLB, he's also a very good special team player.

Nate Harris, ha ha ha. Harris is small. Harris is a PS Player, 3rd string MLB. Scanlon would eat him alive on the playing field every day.

Face it you hate it cause you know im right and your wrong.

royr17

Scanlon: He totally sucks. He's dead weight. He'll never amount to ANYTHING! Get rid of him now.

I guess Napoleon Harris is dead weight, cut him, Derrick Johnson is dead weight, cut him. What you just said is stupid, the guy led the team in special teams tackles in 2005, yes he was injured last year. But he is a good player. Where was Kershaw the other night and Harris, they didnt record one tackle, Scanlon however had 4. So im telling you, he's not dead weight, and if he were to be picked up we would kick us back in our ass for not giving him a chance.

Here's the stat sheet for you, all the KC Linebackers :

LOLB Derrick Johnson - 7 tackles
LOLB Rich Scanlon - 11 tackles, 1 assist
LOLB Nick Reid - 4 tackles

MLB Napoleon Harris - 12 tackles, 3 assist
MLB William Kershaw - 7 tackles, 1 assist
MLB Nate Harris - 9 tackles, 1 assist

ROLB Donnie Edwards - 14 Tacles, 1 Assist
ROLB Kendrell Bell - 4 tackles, 1 assist
ROLB Keyaron Fox - 11 Tacles, 1 Assit

So therefore the Leaders in tackles are Donnie Edwards, Napoleon Harris, Rich Scanlon, and Keyaron Fox.

The Guy can play. Case Closed.

royr17

I dont think Kendrell Bell will make it. Bell hasnt show anything to make him worthy of a roster spot. They'll Keep Scanlon over him, Scanlon plays ST's, Bell Doesnt.

The LB's will be DJ, Rich, Nap Harris, Kershaw, Edwards, Fox, Maybe Nate Harris as 3rd MLB.

I hope Hannon makes it too over Parker, but im not too convinced. Parker will probably start and Bowe will take over later, because of Bowe's holdoout, it screwed him from starting.

Receiving hasnt been very good in the preseason for the Receivers.
Chris Hannon 5 receptions for 59 yards and 1 TD
Brade Ekwerekwu 3 receptions for 27 yards
Samie Parker 3 receptions for 17 yards
Brent Little 2 receptions for 30 yards
Ean Randolph 2 receptions for 20 yards
Dwayne Bowe 1 reception for 21 yards
Eddie Kennison 1 reception for 13 yards
Jeff Webb 1 reception for 7 yards
Titus Ryan 1 reception for 6 yards

There plans are to probably bring him in later, Sippio that is. They probably dont want to expose him so that they can stick him on there PS.

Samie Parker I want gone, but he'll make the team due to Dwayne Bowe's irresponsibility of showing up to camp on time.

Ross has done better than Kolby Smith has so if they put Priest on the PUP then they'll keep both Ross and Kolby.

Patterson has earned the CB position with his play, now it really is a toss up between Brackenridge and Phinisee.

McBride hasnt' done a thing against 3rd and 4th stringers. If KC wants to have a shot at winning the first two games they need to line somebody up the DE position on 3rd and longs that can get to the QB. I'm hoping some tweener doesn't make it on the starting roster of another team.

I guess my question is, what about Hali, Allen, DJ? For that matter, Sapp in nickle has done very well with blitzes too (about the only thing I have seen out of him but he seems to be very good at getting to the QB).

And we are sure not about to dump Turk for someone else's cast off.

Allen is suspended for the first two games.

Hali should anchor the LDE spot. DJ isn't big enough to line up as a down lineman.

I didn't say dump Turk. Obviously they aren't going to dump a 2nd rounder in his first year, but they do need a pass rush those two games and it would be good to have another rotational pass rusher to spell Allen in other games.
