YOu didnt only have to short them 2 wires. You have to run his firmware update as well.

I'm glad that it is screwing SBC/AT&T. I'm sure they have already made plenty of profit scamming people into paying $500 for a phone that is so "technologically advanced".

AT&T is still gonna make a lot of bank. 99% of the people out there would be terrified just to open the case on a > $500 phone, much less short two wires and run a firmware update. Even if the risk of bricking it is small, most people just won't even think about going there.
