I live in the north country, so I get much info concerning the Vikes (and also get to see their games).
I find it interesting to watch the treks of both administrations as they begin to rebuild. First, the Vikes hired a new coach. They let go of an all world wide reciever and a good QB (albeit, now injured, imo).The Vikes spent mega bucks on their offensive line (Hutchison, Birk, Mckinnie), have had poor WR's since the departure of moss, and have what looks to be an all-world RB in Adrian Peterson. They also have Chester Taylor to take some of the snaps. They are re-building the Defense - look solid at LB, have one very good corner, and look pretty good at the end position.
The Chiefs, on the other hand, spent nothing on the OL, have mediocre WR's, an all world RB and have really spent some money and draft picks on what is becoming a top 10 defensive unit.
Childress and Edwards, both hired last year, are conservative, run first coaches.
The Vikings chose a 4rth round Div II QB in the 2006 draft.
The Chiefs chose a 3rd round QB for Alabama in the 2006 draft.
The Vikes are starting their QBOTF even tho it is obvious he is quite raw.
The Chiefs are starting Huard.
