Well, she does illustrate the need for better education in this country. I'm guessing she falls in the 20% of Americans referenced in the question.

From the article:

Upton's former principal Creig Tyler remembered her as a well-rounded student.

Yeah - I'll bet. :)

Yep....Dumb as a bag of hammers but she will spend her life laying around pool side in a 7,000 sq ft home with a couple high end convertibles in her 4 car garage while some immigrant cleans it. Closest thing she will ever come to doing work will be the 45 minutes a day she will spend with Hans the personal trainer making sure she keeps her paycheck tight and lean.

There is absolutely no better situation in the world than being a really hot American female.

She is plenty hot enough but the real question will be whether or not she can cash in on it before her stupidity gets in the way and messes everything up....ie getting knocked up by some future ditch digger etc.

painful but she redeemed herself well in that other interview.

I know I for one would crap my pants in front of all those people, LOL, or as they say in what about bob 'a lot of people freeze on tv dad'

How does re-answering the questions when she's had time to think about (aka - say what people told her to say) redeem her in any way shape or form?

That only cemented my opinion that she's not very intelligent.

painful but she redeemed herself well in that other interview.

She was just repeating everything they said along with a couple of scripted answers... 'everyone makes mistakes', 'everything was coming at me at once', 'drew a blank', 'out of body/not in my actual body', 'let's go back and redo everything'... and then the the obvious "if the stat is true we might want to start teaching geography".

Here's the quote from the Yahoo article...

"Everything did come at me at once. I was overwhelmed and I made a mistake. Everybody makes a mistake. I'm human," she said Tuesday.

Watch the video of her interview on the Today Show... That's not what she said.

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TeGmOrs9gCU"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TeGmOrs9gCU" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

She actually said...

"Everybody makes mistake (singular, no "a"). I'm humans (plural)."

HolmeZz
08-28-2007, 03:34 PM
She didn't say humans.

I've watched it again 3 times and if she isn't saying humans she has a lisp.

I can hear what you're talking about, but it sounds more like a lisp or some static.

How does re-answering the questions when she's had time to think about (aka - say what people told her to say) redeem her in any way shape or form?

Q: why do you think 20% of US Americans cant locate US America on a map?

Answer 1: Some US Americans dont have maps...

Answer 2: My friends and I can locate it. If the statistic is true, we should teach geography more so we can read maps better.

She doesnt directly answer the question the second time. The first time she did; how are you going to locate US America on a map if you dont have a map, hmmm?

she comes off better in the new Today video. Why I have wasted my time watching both of those videos when I could have been doing something productive?
