As long a Huard is starting, there wont be much interest...

We have seen this song and dance before....

Once Croyle gets in there.. The excitement will come back and in a hurry!

Croyal - excitement? Like if he actually manages to complete a pass or something?

You guys obviously aren't real fans.

I'll probably do laundry and spend time with my daughter.

I'm coaching 11-12 year old football, and our games are all on Sundays, usually I miss the first half of the season for Chief football...

...which has not been a bad thing lately.

...when I do get a chance to watch a game (in fact, I'll be in KC for the Vikes) I'll be sure to lubricate with copious amounts of alcohol.

-losing my ****ing mind

Between football and The Sopranos Sunday was pretty much the only day I watched TV. Now their both dead.

I doubt my schedule will change much, just the team I'm watching.

Reminding myself that this season is not going to be a good one, not having any expectations, and trying to watch the game without getting too pissed

Amen. I wrote a note on last years schedule after the playoff "performance". The note says under the score:

"No first downs until 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Inept offense. New Years resolution: quit caring so much about the Chiefs."

I hope I can follow that up. I am a passionate fan, so it will be an interesting year for me, to see if I can do exactly what you laid out in your post. I don't want my weekends totally ruined, and they will be if I don't lighten up.

At least he hits the guys in the numbers... Like Your Dad Herm said he cant throw and catch too...

Still it is better than watching a limp 34 year old never was out there taking this team nowhere....

If you suffered through all 4 quarters of all 4 pre-season games...you know you are a sadist and will watch all 4 quarters of every regular season game.

Probably sitting at home, listening to Mitch and Lenny on the streaming audio.

Game not being carried here and I don't see going to the bars to watch, at this point in time.

(Plans subject to change depending on my mood)

I hear you man. It is one of the hardest things for me to do is not care about the Chiefs. I can manage to curb my expectations and enthusiasm for almost every other damn thing in my life but when it comes to the Chiefs it's damn near impossible. When they win, I am ecstatic. When they lose, it ruins my mood and people around me KNOW not to talk to or call me or even mention the game. I was cheering as though we won the Super Bowl last year when the Broncos lost to the Niners to get us into the playoffs and was very quickly reminded of why I hate being a Chiefs fan sometimes. If only I could watch without being on the edge of my seat hoping that maybe we will be good someday, I would be a much better person to be around.

Debating on weather to use a gun, rope, or tall building

Use all three. Tie a rope to the trigger of the gun and pull it right as you are falling off a tall building.

Just make sure you land on Carl Peterson.

Home games= At the game
Away games, in front of the TV.

I have very low hopes for this season, and frankly, hope they don't go 8-8. If they are going to have a rough year, I hope it's rough enough to at least land us a top 10 pick in the draft...
But I'll be damned if I'm going to be a fair-weather fan and not be as passionate and excited game-by-game as I have been for the better part of the last 2 decades.

I'm with you I'll Tivo and then do the 30 second skip so I can watch the whole game, every play in 25 minutes.
