What do you think?

I dont think they ever have before? At least in the Carl era. Highly doubtful they will this year.

I think it's possible, but I'd be mildly surprised.

I find it difficult to believe they would, but who knows?

It's strange, but when you run the ball on every play, I suppose you can get away with it.

I hope not. Huard is already suffering from a nagging injury, and Croyle isn't made of iron.

So is Huard still limping?

Not for sure. He definitely was on the last episode of Hard Knocks, but they are about a week 1/2 to two weeks behind. And he hasn't played in a game for 2 straight weeks now. He should be pretty pain free by the time they play Houston.

Ask Go Chiefs and then we will know.

Unfortunately, that won't last long.

We've got the 2nd best QB in the AFC according to QB rating. And we have a 2nd year guy who almost took his job in preseason. We might have 2 of the top five QBs in the league on the roster. Two will be more than enough QBs. Whoo Hooo.

Personally with this bunch of coaches I think they are ready to just snap the ball to LJ and bypass the inconvenience of having a QB. SWEET! Herm thinking outside the box :)

It seems weird that Herm has only kept two considering his luck with QB's. I guess it means we go after someone.

My Broncos have been going with two QB's for a few years now to save a roster spot. It made me nervous at first since we ended up losing our two QB's the year we started doing it, but it looks like that's the way many teams are setting up rosters now. I guess the thinking is that your #3 guy is your Scout Team QB on the Practice Squad because you are screwed if you get to that point anyway.

Yeah, but you're even more screwed without a # 3.

The sad thing is Brodie was almost GIVEN the the 2nd best QB in the AFC's job, but he couldn't keep it... :shake:

With Huard being the second best QB, you wouldn't have thought there would have even been a competition. Yet there was.

You still have a #3 but he stays on the Practice Squad and runs the Scout Team. When his PS eligibility is done you promote him, trade him or cut him and start over. It's a nightmare if you ever lose two QB's in the same game but it's a useful set up for running guys through the system and getting a look at potential players. Plus you are allowed to keep him as a PS extra IIRC. It's nerve wracking as a fan until you get used to it and it lets you keep one more of the "bubble" players.

if we lost 2 QB's in one game, we were probably destined to lose anyway

I doubt it would happen in "a game" but it may happen over several games given our OL. Huard is already dinged and Cryle is not exactly made of iron.

I doubt he picks up another QB, he will just put Printers and/or Terrell on the PS and pull them up if he needs another QB.

They should definitely have a formation that replaces the QB with LJ and adds another blocker in the backfield. Shotgun with the blockers in front of LJ, up the middle every time, yo!

Let's say you decide to put Terrell on the PS initially. You hold 10 dbacks. The notion is that Terrell makes on the PS and you can rotate him to active and move someone to PS (a defensive back). You can then have Terrell go with the team because NFL rules allow you to carry the 3rd QB for emergency play.
