Looking to get rid of some old Playstation, Dreamcast and original XBOX games.

Not necessarily looking for the most money just the best option to sell them and get a reasonable return.

Do you have a Game Xchange up there?

I'd go with Game Xchange as well. Pawn shops always buy stuff.

Keep in mind, I am not looking for a high return but don't want the bare minimum that a trade store gives either.

50 cents for an XBOX title is robbery IMO.

You can get a LOT more selling them on ebay than selling them to a pawn shop or Game Xchange. Game Xchange wont give you shit. Against my advice, my son took a PS, an X-Box, and 15 games to Game Xchange because he wanted to trade for a wii. They made him give it all for it and still wanted $15.

My buddies parents own one. I get stuff for free a lot.

He got better trade value for that than they would have given here. Was it a PSone or PS2?

Sounds like he got one hell of a deal IMO.

It was a PS1 with two controllers and two memory cards, the X-Box had two controllers and the games were all X-Box games. A couple of them were less than a year old. All of that plus $15 for a used wii.

I am considering just beating the low prices on Half.com but don't know the fee structure. Is it worth it after paying the listing fees?

My apologies, he just corrected me it was a PS2. Now I'm even more pissed. I dont know where you came up with those prices but you could sell all that stuff you listed on ebay for a hell of a lot more than $45.

ya if he traded in all that + $15 for a Wii than that's a pretty damn good deal. Wii's are hard to find right now too

I traded in my PS2 which is one of the old big ones, without a controller, and about 15 games (most of them sports games, they actually rejected my Madden 06) and got about $150 in store credit at a Game Crave.

The Wii is in high demand. You can't really expect much more at a place like that.

Everywhere i go, i always, always see PS3's on the shelf, but never Wii's. Those are hard to come by.

Well this has been a couple months ago but still - its foolish to trade that many games, plus two systems with two controllers, plus $15 for a used wii. Those game stores are ripoffs. I could have sold all that on ebay and probably had enough to buy him a brand new wii outright.

Probably so, but its more of the convience factor than anything else is why those stores stay in business.

Big pain. Especially if you have only sold and bought maybe 20 items on Ebay since you became a member. Most Ebayers won't even give the time of day to anyone with less than 100 feedbacks these days.

They probably are ripoffs, but....

Did you get what you wanted?

Did you get rid of something that was not going to be used?

I would probably tend to agree with your statement. However, time is money. If it takes me an hour to sell a game on eBay (including the time to list it, answer questions, communicate with the buyer, ans ship it), and I only got an extra $5 for it, I'd rather do something else.

I sold that list of games I had in my flea market thread...

I still have a few of them..

but..for the most part..it was $7 to list them...buyer paid for shipping and I made over $1600 for games that I had only $70 invested in..along with all the consoles
