Last night I had a dream that I was watching the CHiefs playing Houston in an almost empty stadium. It was a super ugly game. Almost empty stadium and both teams were aweful and we were more so. In the end we got a lucky break and won 7-3. Even though we won I came away feeling terrible about my Chiefs. This has ispired the following question:

Would you prefer our Chiefs to win under the circumstances in my dream or would you like us to lose to a "good" Houston team but in a higher scoring game with many flashes about our younger players' potential?

Umm....you left out a choice. How about we look decent and win the game (not because of luck).

I myself voted for option 2. Since I have adopted the notion of this being a rebuilding year I much prefer feeling comfortable that we have a young nucleus for a very good competative team next year.

That's a given. I'm curious about the preference between the two scenarios mentioned.

I always want to win.

You aren't a REAL FAN then...

kidding aside, I would always like to win. But I just don't think we are going to make a run this year. Given that belief, I think I'ld like to see flashes. But, that would involve Huard pulling his hammy just before the game, and then seeing alot of Croyle to Bowe.

I suppose there are some younger players on defense that could shine, but I already believe they are pretty good for the most part.

But, if Croyle came in and led us into a 20-24 loss, I would have hope for the future.

Did you go to Dinner with Bush and give him a Chief's jersey? I must know before I can vote.

Close so far, logic says this is losing season anyway so better to show promise than to win on luck.

I can't believe most of you take instant short term gratification with a futureless team over solid hope/evidence for long term gratification. It's like druggies shooting up to feel good for the moment and not caring about long term health. :hmmm:

A circus offense and a stingy defense.

I wonder how we get the 7 points.

I expect it is a sack by Hali, fumble, Benny Sapp scoop the ball, bring it to th end zone, the Texans challenge it was down by contact, after reviewing the tape, the call stands.

Medlock kicks for the extra point, wide, hit the upright and bounces in.

it's gonna be the usual way we get points this season, dammit, Herm.

I went with option B, but I would rather see them play well AND win.

Close! It was an unearned fumble in the last minute. It bounced right into the hands of a Chiefs defender on around their 10 and our guy ran it in.

There's no such thing as an ugly win or a pretty loss.

I chose #2. First, I think Houston is much improved. I saw some of their preseason action, and they may not be THE suck this year. That said, I want to see consistent play, development in the youngsters, and good run blocking at least from the line.

I want to win AND look good doing it AND score points like an arena team AND shutout the opponent AND score on defense AND score on special teams

PERFECTION!!!!!

Considering 1 game does not make a season I say win the game on luck and hopefully later games in the season will show flashes.

True, that is why I hope we get to see alot of Croyle after the Chicago game...

With Huards mobility.. He might end up in the hospital for an extended stay after the Bears get done with him...
