There is a great one going on in Tulsa tonight. Jenks vs. Union. NFL Films is going to be there taping the game but no live TV. This game always fills up Skelly Stadium. Something TU can't do. I haven't decided whether to go or not. I hate crowds.

Nobody carrying that game live? Weird.

yes, every Friday night and Wednesday night...ahhh the life of a football coach widow... I'd love to go get drunk right now to prepare, but I think they frown on that

I haven't been able to find it. Last year I counted 4 satellite trucks in an aerial photo. I wonder what they are there for?

Not this year both kids are out of school and their school merged with our hated rival ....

Wish I was. Lil Stumppy has a game tonight. Not only is the game about 45 miles away but I can't make it anyways. Hopefully they will do as good this week as last week. They won, the final score was something like 53 - 0. I think the Off., Def, and Spec. T. all scored.

You're not going to Lil Stumppys game? What's the deal? Are you having an Avon party?

I wish I lived in Wichita right now. I'd go to every Wichita East game.

Why?
Arthur Brown, and his younger brother Bryce Brown. Two of the best football players in the nation.

Im pretty sure I heard that ESPNU has a game in Wichita this year...they are there to see Wichita East's stud LB and his younger brother and they are against Dodge City whose QB had signed with a D-1 school. I heard that QB for Dodge City broke his thumb and tore ligaments in last weekends game though.

There is a big game in Hutchinson Ks. tonight. Hutch, who was number one in the state the last I checked, is hosting Great Bend who was number one in 5A and number 3 in the state last I checked. GB had several key players get hurt last week though....Hutch should stomp 'em.

Best entertainment value out there. If you go for the JV game, you get 2 games for 5 bucks. Plus, the local Lyons club Ques the killer hamburgers with fresh garden tomatos along with all the other condiments, $2.00 bucks.

I've been through HS football with my older son and now I'm going through Pop Warner style football with my younger son and daughter. They play on Saturdays.

Heh, the NFL Films spokesman was just on the 10 o'clock news. He said he attended 2 Big 10 schools and Jenks and Union have better facilities than any Big 10 school he has seen.

Also, to show you how good these high school facilities are: Conference USA, of which Tulsa is a member, played their conference basketball tournament in Union's high school facility. It is a palace.

Whoa! We got a barnburner. Union and Jenks are tied 36 all with 40 seconds to go. The "Sports Blitz" on Channel 6 ran out of time and the game is still going. I'll update as soon as they do.

I think I'm gonna start going more often. I listened to a high school game on AM radio during my drive home tonight. It was moderately entertaining.

Rockhurst 21 Blue Springs 14. The two state powers look like they laid down another great game.

Can't wait for Blue Springs South versus Blue Springs next Friday. That game could turn into a track meet. Carlos Anderson and Donte Strickland are stud running backs. Blaine Dalton should also do some damage on the ground and in the air.

WOOO HOOOOOO

Lil Stumppy won again. Willard Tigers 20 - Bolivar Liberators 17.
He said it was rained the whole time and was one of the best games he'd seen and/or been in.

Damn I wish I hadn't missed it.:cuss:

Wow thats next week? I may have to make it out for that. Now that South is so strong its just made Blue Spring's job brutal.

Blue Springs has so much talent across the board. If the two schools were combined there are not a lot of sports boys or girls they wouldn't have titles in.

All state football players would be on the bench. ROFL

Actually it wasnt Conference USA skip, they played in Memphis's NBA Arena, it was the Mid-Con home of the UMKC Kangaroos.

I hear Blaine Dalton is favoring Mizzou. He looks like the kind of QB Pinkel wants.

I don't keep up like I used too, it is great to see the success both schools are having.

Went to see my cousin play tonight... Lee's Summit West @ Center.

He had 10 carries, 3 TD's & around 120 yds in a 47-0 route.
