I love the Chiefs, I have since elementary school. But it is going to be a tough year as a fan. This is something that we haven't really experienced since the 80's.

So, who is your next favorite football team?

I used to really like the Bears, back with Walter Payton.

And I did like the Patriots until they started winning all the Superbowls.

I know that San Diego is built how I wish the Chiefs were built. aside from Philip Rivers...

I guess I dont have a real second favorite team... do you?

Also, if not, perhaps Simplex can bump his, temporary fan website that he created...

I wish I had a second favorite team... but the more I think about it, the more I hate Carl Peterson for ruining this one.

I'm afraid that if I pick a second favorite team....that the crappiness that is the Chiefs will rub off on them. And I wouldn't want to do that to another team.

I don't really have a second favorite team, but I do root for certain teams like Baltimore.

I'm just going to root for my non-NFL teams, ie Rutgers, the Nets, Yankees...

My fantasy football team.

Yup. Thank goodness I have FF.

I live in Bears country so I pull for them.

And while I'm not wanting another Cowboys dynasty, I like Romo(Eastern IL is close to here). I made a FF trade to get Owens who seems like he's finally become a mature adult as he had Romo's back last year and gave a good, unselfish interview last night.

I don't know if I have a 2nd favorite, but I like watching teams rebuild to see how they do it and how they fare.

For example, I'm interested in the Bills because like the Chiefs they hired a defensive minded DC and are trying to build through the draft. They differ in that Buffalo went with the risky young QB, they cut and released older vets like Takeo Spikes (instead of signing older guys like Donnie Edwards), they let their semi-disgruntled HB go.

:Poke:
Doesn't LT have a better passer rating than Huard?

Yeah, but then he has a better rating than Manning, too.

I'm kinda sorta pulling for the Saints this year, though they didn't look particularly good in the season opener. However, to say that they are a "favorite" is a bit of a stretch.

The Browns, only because they actually might suck even more then us. Oh wait, they beat us in preseason.

I have a bunch of family in MN, so I used to sort of root for them a bit as my NFC team, but that was a while ago.

My Superbowl pick for the year was the Pats, as I'd rather deal with them winning more then having to hear more about Manning, much less having the Chargers win it, blech.

I hate everyone in the AFC. Bar none.

In the NFC, I like the 49ers, because they beat St. Louis occasionally, and I admired Joe Montana's time there.

I also like the Saints, especially since they're all New Orleans had left after Katrina.

I also admire the Packers and I'm looking forward to seeing Favre play at Arrowhead one last time. I still haven't forgiven them for Super Bowl I.
We owe them one.

Not so fast, this year they have a real schedule and Pennington is already injured.

I'm going to become a NE and a SD fan.

I just decided this last night. They are both built to win, the media loves them both and since we all hate them so much, I figure that if I start to root them both on, they will both end up with losing seasons.

Hope they enjoyed their first and last win....

Because I lived in Nashville for so many years and knew a few Titans players personally, I feel a connection with them. They suck, too, though. Still, it's nice to see them succeed. I was there for the Music City Miracle, and the electricity and atmosphere in that stadium was almost unparalleled.

I always enjoy watching teams that are playing well, with exception of the Cowboys, but Da Bearz are my second favorite from the time I lived in Chicago.

I can't seem to develop the same kind of excitement and love for the Falcons.

God, I feel that way sometimes, especially this year.

As for a second team, I follow the Seahawks a little, now that they are in the NFC, since they are the "local" team.

I have to go for the local team here, the Redskins. Its not ever a conflict with them in the NFC and I get to cheer for Al Saunders too. Plus its all I get to watch.

The team playing the friggin broncos. I will even root for the raiders if they are playing those cheatin bastages. Ever since they cheated the cap in 97 and 98 to get the SB wins my hatred for them has grown by the year.

Dynasty or not I'm a big fan of the Patriots as a whole, they see a weakness they address it and set forth kicking ass.

I'm also impressed that a team that's won 3 Superbowls in the last 6 years still sells certain seats to their games for $49.Crap location or not if any organization has the right to raise all prices it would be the Pats.

I live in San Diego and would like to see them do well and represent the AFC in the SB if KC can't.

I really respect LT. Incredible character and admire their GM. Takes balls to fire a 14-2 HC Marty S.

He definitely made some good player personel moves the last 5 years.
