View Full Version : Ever get those "feelings"

about the outcome of a Chiefs game? Like you just know the outcome of the upcoming game?

Last week, I had a feeling we'd play like it was our 5th preseason game (and we did). This week, I don't know why, but it feels like we're going to kill the Bears.

Wait a minute...here it comes again. Nevermind. We're doomed.

I'm excited for this weeks game. Win or lose, I think we'll be competitive. Maybe it has something to do with my club sport team upsetting the undefeated team in the league championship game last night. :)

Adam Teicher actually had a good take on this. He compared the game against the Texans to last year's opener against the Bungels, where we were kind of in it, but never really threatened, then the next week we were huge underdogs to the Broncos, and ended up losing 9-6 in OT. He said this week's game has the same feeling as that Bronco game last year, and I think I agree.

Hey. Finally a reasonable justification for my optimism.

I do get those feelings. But they usually result in me having another kid.

I hope he's right.

IMO, this is going to be one of those years where you should probably expect the unexpected.

From week to week, there's no telling what team is going to show up.

Nothing would surprise me this week.

If those feelings hold any validity I'd go hit up the money line like...yesterday.

Personally, I think if KC doesn't turn the ball over, they will be right there at the end, if not winning.

However, given the state of the offense and the propensity of the Bears to get turnovers, I'm not optimistic about that happening.

Well, you can stop picturing it. Something bad happens when you mix my wife, me, and alcohol. Well, good at the time.....but 3 kids in 3 years will make you think twice.

Wow...nearly an hour on the board, 10+ replies, and a thread titled "Ever get one of those "feelings"" has not even a poop innuendo.

Planet...burst...lost...

Yep. I knew the Texans were going to kick our a$$es. I put my $ where my mouth was and got a nice little payday. I figured I might as well get paid for my mysery seeing that I was at the game and had to hear about how we $UCK from every Texan fan at Reliant. Oh - it's still going on at work.

This week I'm feeling like we're gonna get shut out. :cuss: Well maybe not, Medlock's gone...

But the first time I had ,"One of those feelings" was when I heard Herm was going to be HC. I must admit that we got here quicker than I thought. No place to go but up I suppose.

How can the Chiefs beat the team that is the perfect vision of what Herms wants his own team to be, but is not there yet? And that perfect team is at home.

Oops...I forgot myself for a minute. Chiefs are going to win!

Personally, I'd like to see Ty Law earn his paycheck in this one. If he plays at the level he did in the Indy game, we could be competitive.

We should grab 10 pts with our defense alone this game. Their offense did nothing to impress vs. the Dolts last week...

No kidding, I am sicker about it today, than I was Sunday. Usually the pain starts subsiding after a few days.

Do you remember some of the nicknames like "Doomsday Defense", "Orange Crush Defense," "greatest show on turf" and "Circus Offense?"
I think our 0ffense should be nicknamed "laughing st0ck 0ffense."

You've got a 50/50 shot.

Well, realistically, it's more like a 0.000000000005% chance that we'll even score a touchdown.

Meh, Carl just take the front runner status and trade down to 22 or 23 for a Pro-Bowl Lineman at the end of his declining career.

With the Bears though, I can see them letting their guard down against the "sucking Chiefs".

Nothing would surprise me this week.

Not even LJ getting 165 and three TD's, Bowe and Sip both getting 85 and a TD each, Drummond running one back and the D scoring twice, once from INT and once from a sack/fumble?

I gotta say that would surprise me.....
