Souled out, due to 19 years of mediocrity.

But, do you think the stadium will be full on Sunday?

I changed the thread a bit here... obviously the home opener will be packed.

But what about the other games?

A late season blackout is not going to surprise me. They have skirted around these the past 2 years.

What is the difference between "A Few" and "Several"?

Mediocrity is hardly the word. When you are a top 5 most winningest program in the last 17 years, how in the hell is that mediocre? I will be there yellin' loud and clear. I am ready to rock. Go Chiefs!

It isn't going to be pretty during the blackouts.

Souled out. Nice. I'm gonna steal that if we suck and the stadium is empty.

It's mediocrity when you have that type of success in the regular season and a 3-9 record in the postseason.

WTF is a "souled out" stadium?

It sounds like something more likely to happen in Detroit.

Or... in Kansas City.

Which is the point.

KCTV wont let it be blackouted, the Chiefs are by far the best rated tv show in the KC tv area.

So KCTV will presumably buy up all the empties, because no matter how much they *want* to show the Chiefs, they can't unless attendance is over a certain threshold.

That's why they are called blackout laws.

"In the NFL, any broadcaster that has a signal that hits any area within a 75-mile (120 km) radius of an NFL stadium may only broadcast a game if that game is a road game, or if the game sells-out 72 hours or more before the start time for the game.[6] If sold out in less than 72 hours, or is close to being sold out by the deadline, the team can sometimes request a time extension."

Does that make sense to someone?

I thought it was a mistake at first, too, but then I quickly saw the joke.

It's better than that anthrax-goal line one.

Carl made sure we were "souled" out years ago when he "souled" his to the debbil in exchange for butts in the seats.

I think even with the past record, Arrowhead will still be packed late in the season. Mainly because if we're doing that badly, you know that Brodie and the other young guys are going to be playing; and if this board is any kind of representation of the Chiefs fan base there will be people there at the games just to watch Brodie and the others develop.

I think the game against the Titans will be where the streak ends..

Mainly because it will be cold and wet and the Chiefs will be out of it.. That and the Titans should be out of it also by then and fighting for draft spots.. So nobody will want to go to a game that the weather is miserable and no one will want to go to the game to see to poor teams play..

If this happens I do not think even tv stations will buy that many tickets..

The only thing that would save this is:

The weather is decent and one of our players is close to a record or a milestone...

I think the loss to Jacksonville at home will be a back breaker for many fans... especially if they are going to wear white at home games.
