I can't wait. Course, the reason we're even close to this is because Congress is out of touch with what the web is, isn't and what we can do to protect it.

It is. But we're closer to that than you think.

Bullshit. Especially with the advent of free wifi.

What makes you think this?

You have to be effen kidding me!!! All the other countries get ludicrous speed for free and yet they want to cable-ize our internet in America?

Why is it America has to make everything so damn difficult and nickel and dime every citizen to death.

This better not have a chance in hell of ever happening.

Guru, that avatar owns.

But, in the New Internet, it won't be allowed. Please leave your mandatory internet access passcard at the front desk.

This is why we want "net neutrality", right?

I really should read up on it.

Bullshit. Especially with the advent of free wifi.
Free wifi has absolutely ZERO to do with this.

Net Neutrality is about tiered traffic service based on endpoint and data type. It is about providing traffic shaping based on who who you are, where you are going, and what you are doing. It has NOTHING to do with where you are coming from, except to identify those who have PAID to be high priority customers.

Legislators won't rule it out and corporations are starting the move. Hell, right now the big thing is capping internet bandwidth. Then it's capping what sites you go to.

And see unlurking's post.
