predictable and unpredictable

1. run, run, pass, punt still looks like crap ... offensive lineman look like crap. Quarterback looks like a Steve Bono. Larry Johnson gets frustrated and starts pouting. Dewayne Bowe and Gonzo are non-existent. Kris wilson gets 10 balls thrown his way.

2. mixing up the plays ... offensive lineman suddenly learn how to block which gives Huard time to set his feet. Dewayne bowe and Gonzo start getting the ball. RB start running through holes the size of a truck. Kris Wilson turns back into Bigfoot.

you make the choice ........

I honestly thought Huard was afraid to throw in the first half.

Kris Wilson never had so many balls thrown his way.

In the second half, either the play calling was better, or Huard grew some balls.

how can you even have doubts after what you just saw :banghead:

if you run on 1st down EVERY FUGGIN time .... you are going to be in 3rd and long EVERY FUGGIN time. Which is a situation that defense want to be in ... plan to be in. Our offense in a defensive coordinators dream. We give away 1st and 2nd down and then play into the defense s hands on 3rd down.

It was almost like a light bulb went on and they decided that if they didn't respect the pass then they probably could throw it against 8-9 in the box. Amazing difference in play calling in the halves.

Maybe they'll be smart enough to mix things up from the start next week.

Success will make you think...

Any word on Kennison coming back? Kennison and Bowe, with Parker in the slot might be nice...

The horrid offensive start is more about a lack of adequate coaching than anything else IMO. :banghead:

Amazing when you have balance...

The O line needs to be improved next year for sure, we have 3 garbage lineman

Those short passes to Wilson could be a wonderful asset in situations where the secondary respects the deep ball.

Eddie Kennison's return should be just enough to get this O rolling.
With Dwayne Bowe, Tony Gonzales and EK, it won't be as easy to plant 8 defenders in the box against LJ.

As much as Herm may hate it, this O is still best when the pass sets up the run.
