I don't mean to be rude, but there's no way Nebraska deserves to be in the top 25. I'm sorry, but I see no logical explaintion for it.

KU played better against FIU then Miami and Penn State did, so shut your pie hole

“Absolutely,” Cristobal said, asked if KU could compete with the Nittany Lions (59-0 winners on Sept. 1), Terrapins (26-10 winners on Sept. 8) and Hurricanes, who downed FIU, 23-9, last week, then fared even better against Big 12 power Texas A&M, 34-17, on Thursday.

“Kansas is an excellent football team. The way they execute on offense … they truly are a machine,” Cristobal added.

The Todd Reesing-led Jayhawks gained 615 yards Saturday.

Miami, in comparison, totaled 428 yards, Maryland 270 and Penn State 549 against FIU.

“They have a great offense, a great quarterback,” said FIU safety Ashlyn Parker

Yup..... you are right. Lets take a look at your schedule so far.

Central Michigan - Currently 1-3 (Only win coming against Toledo)

SE Louisiana - Currently 1-3 (Only win coming against Kentucky Wesleyan)

Toledo - Currently 1-3 (Only win is against Iowa State which is another 1-3 team. Hell, even Central Michigan hung 52 points on them which is more than what KU was able to score on them)

Florida International - 0-4 (What can you say here... they suck)

So.... all the teams you have played so far have a combined record of 3-13.

But yeah.... go ahead and base your belief that KU football is good based on that you beat an 0-4 team worse than Penn State and Miami.

Wait... what?

Penn State Blanked FIU 59-0.... final score when the played KU was 55-3.

You still have the fact that you beat them by more than Miami did to hang your hat on, right?

Cuz they didn't lose.

That said, I agree. Huskers look like ass this year, especially on D. When you let Ball Sack state put up 650+ yards (first team since like 1950 to do that to the Huskers...) it's time to face facts.

I'm a Husker fan, but I readily admit that they are not close to playing like a top 25 team.

so kstate didnt when snyder was the coach? cause he played some teams that were a shit ton worse. im not saying they deserve to be in the top 25, but from what ive seen, putting up 50+ points 4 weeks in a row, they deserve some votes and recognition.

WTF does anything that happened 3+ seasons ago have anything to do with the current conversation.

Why don't we talk about Nebraska in 1964 and whether they deserved to be ranked or not?

Putting up 50+ points on those teams is akin to getting laid every night but you are banging 80 year olds.

Now.... beat A&M, Missouri, and perhaps even Nebraka.... then we will talk about KU deserving votes.

The 'Canes will be ranked very soon.

And thats why college ball is horribly flawed. Teams like Boise and Hawaii don't have any chance in hell to be ranked after a loss. Hawaii dropped places cause they won in overtime two weeks ago. Yet the canes can get blown out by the Oklahoma win some and still be on the cusp of a top 25 ranking.

#44 Greg Woidneck is a stud. Unfortuneately, he plays on a team that doesn't punt much and your comparing him to Colquitt who is an elite punter.

People say the Pac 10 is weak but SC has to beat #6 Cal and #12 Oregon on the road. Even if they drop one of those they should be in the big enchilada (more likely OR because Cal is is in Nov.)

Go Trojans!!!!!

I don't see a single KSU fan whining on here about not getting votes. I don't necessarily think KU should be getting votes instead of other worthy teams who have actually played someone.

Some teams are in the early polls based off their last season performances, others are because of quality wins in 07. KU is neither.

The beef I have is with NU. That's ridiculous....last week they got hosed IMO because of losing to USC. I can only assume this equates to a makeup call.

I was calling him whiny because he was pissing and moaning about KU getting votes. It had nothing to do with whether the Kitties got any. Hey, KU may not have played teams that were any good, but they did do what good teams are supposed to do to bad teams. They pummeled every team they played. In years past, this team would not have done that. To further illustrate my point, compare their scores against other teams that have played these same opponents and then maybe you'll get an idea as to why the polls think KU may have a decent team.

Central Michigan lost to Purdue, but the score wasn't nearly as big a margin as KU's.

CMU @ Purdue 22-45 L = 23 point margin

CMU @ Kansas 7-52 L = 45 point margin

Toledo also played Purdue

Purdue @ Toledo 52-24 L = 28 point margin

Toledo @ Kansas 13-45 L = 32 point margin

As of now, that is the only thing that we can use to compare. I guess we'll truly know once the Big 12 season starts.
