He did that when we drafted him and it cost us a 3rd round pick to move up and get him. :banghead:

we get a pick just for him making the team, i think...

that's one terrible pick. I guess every team has had their share of 1st round busts tho

Speaking of picks you wish you had over again, does anyone on the board remember a guy named Anthony Hancock - a WR out of Tennessee?

I do. I don't remember who we could've had instead -- although a warm bucket of piss would've been more valuable than Hancock.

I was taking a trip down memory lane and drew a blank on our #1 pick that year. I honestly don't remember him playing.

A horrible year for the NFL draft, pretty much.

Wow. Marcus Allen goes 10th and Hancock 11th.

Let's see ... Mark Duper and Mike Quick were available at the WR position.

Amazing.

He was a sprinter on the Tennessee Track Team.
Fast as hell...
But he couldn't run routes right
or catch.
Two important things for an NFL receiver.
Hancock and Slo Mo were the two biggest busts as 1 round pick receivers.

I can't believe I don't remember the guy. So, it looks like DB is the best #1 wide receiver pick we've had since Elmo Wright.

Carl had visions of the Hancock-Blackledge connection.

I remember the Chiefs Running back duo of Ethan Horton and Paul Palmer back in the 80's.

Wasn't Hancock busted with drugs effectively ending his career in KC? I think his NFL career ultimately came to an end after an uninspiring season in Philly.

Sims, Morris, Jozwiak, Blackledge, Hancock, Horton and Sid Smith were all bad, but Trezell Jenkins was the worst.

hard to argue that one. We got absolutely nothing out of that pick. He barely even saw the field.

The only other one that might compete for honors was Jozwiak because he was such a high pick. But, at least Jozwiak was a stud in college. It is hard to understand why Jenkins was even picked and easy to see why he was a bust.

I don't view SlyMo as so much of a bust as falling in the Percy Snow category, and though much more tragically the Delaney category.

The 'what could have been' category.

You guys are obsessed with this guy. He is a huge bust you should just get over it.

I agree. He was # 2 in receptions that year among rookie WR's.

Better a bust than not just a person that did not want to play for a certain team.

Ok Simms does not want to play for anyone @ least.

Ex: Randy Moss.

Ryan Sims: zero stats thru 3 games, I thought the Bucks said he was going to a factor for them..

Kawika Mitchell:15 total tackles, meh like you would expect...

Sammy Knight: 16 total tackles 1 int, should not to be to hard to top his best(worst) years here with those numbers..

Erik Hicks: 3 total tackles, man him and Sims are tearing it up...

I'm still not sure what to make of it.
