So, you want to pony up the bucks to install a front-page ad decrying Carl Peterson and his management, to the extent that you are part of the community asking Clark Hunt to accept Carl Peterson's resignation. The cost is between $11,000 and $14,000. How much would you be willing to contribute?

Right after you typed that, your brain should have slammed on the brakes and made you hit the back button. Apparently, you need new pads or your rotors turned.

What a ridiculous price... you could feed thousands of starving children Whopper Jr's, they are only 99cents.

A pie big enough to hide a midget covered in antifreeze pie who could pop out and stab them in the face!

I have better things to do with my money. Like, pay a homeless man $50 to kick me in the balls.

If you're going to ask me IF I'd be willing at least put a ****ing "NO" option out there...

You didn't give a "none" option, so I voted for $500. Don't expect to see any of it, though.

A public poll would have killed the need to ask that question.

Sorry, My bad. Then, let's say the $500 line be read as the "No, it's a waste of time" option.

Are you sure about that? I have Chiefs tickets I can sell you for $4000.

I didn't post in the other thread... but if this board raises 5 digits for a newspaper ad that Carl will laugh at for 2.3 seconds before using it to collect hamster droppings... nobody is allowed to complain about the server ever again.

IMHO what is the difference? I have donated to help the server situation and guess what it still ain't fixed.

I'm not suprised. When I posted the other thread I wasn't thinking about the Star being in a major city with major city rates.
I've called them twice today and can only get the voice mail for the ad. dept. Left my # but they have yet to call me back.

Money is not nor has it ever been the issue with the Planet server.

Very poor poll. No stick it up yours, I'm not giving a dime option. And no Gaz option.

I have 2 better ideas and they're a heck of a lot cheaper.
Except one is more work:

1) Do a personal letter writing campaign to the front office.
Keep it pithy and use snail mail. Inundate the place.

2) Do a petition. This one is work. But it would be most efficient to do at the stadium on game day with lots of hands. Put your message at the top of the petition. Get thousands of signatures. Wouldn't hurt to ask each to also write a letter.

The next game after you deliver the petition hire one of those planes to fly over the stadium on game day...saying "Fire Carl, Herm or both.!" Heh!

If the Planet could raise five figures, I'd rather it spread it around to buy out-of-staters (like me) airplane tickets to attend the biggest, baddest Planet party in history at Nzoner's.

This suggestion reminds me of the campaign that sent nuts to CBS to reinstate Jericho.

What could we inundate them with? Checkers pieces, maybe?

Letters.

A Direct Mail campaign is more effective anyway. In this case cheaper!

One stamp .41¢
One piece of paper .01¢
One envelope .05¢ ??

10-15 minutes of your time. Can't beat that!
Check with Nzoner. He's in the biz!

Thanks, but I know that you were suggesting a letter-writing campaign. I was just offering a different suggestion.

Actually you can get a jr full page 3 column inches at the top and one column right or left much cheaper. Also if anyone on here has a contract with the Star its about 1/2 as much with a annual contract.

We have $7,030 pledged so far, though I would be wary of fronting the money for the ad.
