Ahh...I see you watched Chuck tonight too.Last night, but yeah.

I don't think I really ever played Zork. The earliest I remember was an early Ultima PC game. My uncle had it, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

The only text-based game I remember was based on "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".

That game was hard as ****. And that was after I had finished reading the book, too.

I had one of those. I found it very boring.

Did you figure it out? These were about as far away from games of today as possible. No graphics....you had to have....gasp...imagination. Your mind happened to be the graphics of these games.

I happen to think you have quite the imagination there Kevin.

Thanks, but no, I didn't solve it. It essentially became a game of "pick a verb" to me, and I eventually put it away and played Missile Command. Maybe I was missing something?

Very cool.

For some of us, before Zork there was:

"You are in a maze of twisty passages, all alike". :)

And before adventure some of us were playing...

well nothing was before adventure except spacewar and pong.

Damn, foiled.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
