Consumer tip of the day.

Paul English's database of company information gives you telephone numbers for top companies and shows you how to get a real, live human being on the phone.

I've seen this before and couldn't find where I saved it. Thanks a lot.

not one for dish or directtv tho...

That, of course, comes as little surprise since no one actually works there.

The issue with using these processes is the fact that your going to be waiting just as long as someone who is in the right queue but once the call is answered your going to have to wait even longer once they transfer you to the correct queue. The best thing to do is take 1 minute and just go through the options to get in the correct queue.

Called Sprint using this tool yesterday but got someone in India who couldn't even understand the problem. Very frustrating. She spoke english but couldn't grasp the concept of the words, the meaning.

I agree. I've been a DirecTv customer since 1995 and have always had excellent customer service.
