Religion threads don't show up THAT often. It's not like politics threads where the front page is half-populated with old crap because memememmememeemme felt like saying "uh-oh!!!1!!" again. Do they get heated? Of course. If you don't want to get in a fight with someone then never, never bring up religion or politics. Some people can't handle it when others defend their differing opinion. Then tend to say things like "you're a prick on this topic" because they've been butthurt by your opinion.
