First off props to Herm for finally opening things up and utilizing an aggressive passing game to beat a talented (and desperate) team on the road. Hopefully Herm now realizes that attacking downfield with Bowe and Gonzalez will open up the Chiefs running game. I remain skeptical if Herm will actually keep this up and we know that Slowlari and Curled Dick are liabilities when it comes to developing effective offensive gameplans... but we shall see.

Now on to Jay Posner of the San Diego Union-Tribune. This is the guy who wrote a scouting report about the Chiefs for his newspaper that he titled "KC offense: Granny glasses and high-buttoned shoes". Here is a little sample of what he wrote: "With the Chiefs coming to town, the Chargers might have found an answer for their defensive woes of the last two weeks. Kansas City, which has a rebuilt offensive line, scored just 16 points in its first 2 1/2 games before “exploding” for 10 in the second half against Minnesota and pulling out a 13-10 victory."

Looks like Granny smacked back... to the tune of 390 yards of total offense and 30 points.

Time for Granny to serve some crow to Mr. Jay Posner. His phone # at the San Diego Union Tribune is (619) 293-1834 and his e-mail address is jay.posner@uniontrib.com
