LOL, thanks Beano Cook.

Big wins over Nebraska and Illinois, and a thrashing of Ole Miss at Oxford. I'd say their resume is certainly top ten worthy at this point in the season.

I don't think it's so much that as the fact that Nebraska is overrated as hell.

Nebraska's brutal. Almost lost to Wake Forest and friggin' Ball State had them beat at their place.

I don't want to take anything away from Mizzou, but this wasn't a good team that they beat. Right now I could see NU finishing fifth in the North division.

Well, let's be fair: they're not "beating" them, they're destroying them. This hasn't been a game since the 1st quarter, and it should be 38-6.

Regardless, this is an ass-whooping.

Mizzou looks way better than KSU. Although, I bet KSU beats Nebraska, also.

Great solid victory.

A lot of people were saying that. 1 point win over Ball state? Come on.

For the record, I think KU is overrated, too. Still glad they're 5-0, though :)

We'll see how MU stacks against OU next week.

What I find really surprising about this game is for the first time in my life when you looked at the croud, there was very little red. When I was a kid and got to go to the games there were times when it looked like Neb fans outnumbered us at home.

Yep, I agree. Funny thing, I was looking forward to tonight being the first real test of the season. Somehow, I don't see us blowing out OU. Although, if we do, we should definitely have a solid hold in the top 10.

See, right there you are thinking with your brain instead of your heart. I know, I do it too. But MU isn't going to beat the good teams with no running attack. It has never happened before. You'll spend all day getting intercepted by 8 DB's. At least that is the way it has always been.

Mizzou's rushing attack might not be conventional, but it isn't nonexistent like you are suggesting. They are 26th in the NCAA at 200 rushing ypg. They are sixth in ypc at 5.7. With everything said and done tonight, Mizzou finished with 200 yards rushing.

The reason Mizzou fans are cynical is...
You can only get smacked in the face with a frying pan
Before you learn to duck.

Mizzou loses at Norman, but it'll be a game, not a blowout.

BTW: The fake field goal TD last night was a thing of beauty.
Martin Rucker is a horse. Chiefs should draft him as a replacement for Jason Dunn.

Cynical with good reason. Next week will be very tough in Norman.

However, this is probably the sweetest Mizzou win of my lifetime. Running it up on Husker Nation (loved the fake FG to make it 41-6) is a beautiful thing.

I wonder if those super classy Nebraska fans stayed and clapped for Mizzou's second string.

With the passing weapons MU has, MU should be able to hold their own against OU, I'm not saying they'll win though because it's VERY hard to go into Norman and win. If the game was at Columbia I would predict a MU win, because OU looked very unimpressive against a shitty Texas team. MU's passing attack looked extremely deadly last night. Just wow.

If they beat OU in Norman this team deserves to be top 10 IMO.

This has been the fun thing though...MU and KU have almost been pulling each other lately. It is almost like a rivalry based on hatred transformed into a rivalry based on respect.

A KU guy who I go back and forth with are always at eachother's throats. I saw him yesterday and just told him "that was a hell of a win in Manhattan you guy deserved it" he talked about how impressed he was with the Tigers win.

Also met some cool Nebraska fans. Me and my buddies were having some drinks in Westport with all of our Mizzou stuff on and a pack of Nebraska fans comes up. We look eachother over and without saying anything he bought us a round of a drinks. Said after working them over like that we deserve them. ROFL After that we all talked football for an hour or so.

This is a pretty fun time.

We sat next to an older Nebraska couple at the game. They were very nice people and I honestly felt badly for them. They had nothing to cheer about, but they maintained good spirits through at least part of the second quarter. The MU fans around them were cool to them and they stayed for the duration of the game, even though many NU fans had left. Good folks.
