Ty is gonna pick one if they keep on.

I hope so. But honestly, I'm pleased with new CB kids. I'm not sure of cap implications and next year, but Law's time will be over soon.

He would have to stop falling down and giving his receiver a 10 yard cushion to do so.

not if he is always 5 yards away from the guy heading down field.

To be fair, he had a WR up top and below. His responsibility is to the deep man in that coverage.

I doubt it. He's slow as hell. Absolutely zero recovery speed.

The only things Ty is going to pick this year is his nose, or his ass.
He's old and slow, but at least he gives up way too much cushion.

Picks don't mean much when the defense can't stop the run.

he looked like a grandpa out there....they went at him repeatedly...his career has about oh 11 games left...

When you give the receiver a 10 yard cushion every time, you're not going to do anything but but lead your team in tackles.

He will certainly have ample opportunity. Even Solari is smart enough to figure out he isn't what he used to be (by a long shot).

I'm ready to see Sapp(when healthy) and Brackenridge start.

5? Try 10-15 yards.

All of our CB's are giving a ton of cushion, not just Law. It reminds me a lot of GR's scheme where you would just hope that the QB would throw a bad ball on every play. Lord knows we don't disrupt routes.

The secondary is a mess. Surtain and Law are showing age, Page and especially Pollard have be disappointment IMO. Pollard makes me appreciate Wesley and that says alot.

Law's a liability now.

I fully expect to see teams run the 10-yard out to his side of the field for the rest of the year. He's horrible in run support and can't tackle anyone in the open field.

His career should definitely be over after the season.

Sapp can't cover anyone man to man. He's a fringe player at best. Brackenridge is young and raw and has potential.

Or keep teams from going over the top because the young safeties keep biting on play action, so there isn't anyone behind him.

Exactlly..Law plays soft because he knows there is no help form his youth behind him...they bite too often ....

What bothers about me with Ty Law isn't that he's playing soft.

It's that he never closes the gap.

I could accept playing 10 yards off on 3rd & long if you hold your ground.

But Ty just keeping backing off more & more and the deep hitch routes are there all day.

It's like there's this 10 yard force field between Ty and the WR that he cannot close. :banghead:
