View Full Version : Hypothetically: If Croyle had these TD/INT numbers

08/09 TD = 19 INT = 24

07/08 TD = 18 INT = 13

Would you want him to be the Chiefs QB for a 3rd season?

I still don't think some people are fully aware of what he'll likely look like in his first few starts.

Uh yes they do, they are just being hopeful.. Most rookie/2nd year players do not put up great stats and make mistakes..

I was talking more in the fan base in general than most posters here.....I could imagine the boos that would reign if he plays like a typical first time starter.

Some people in this market are snowed and think this team is a real contender.

If those were his first two full seasons as our starter I'd welcome him back for a third year.

I have no illusions that this team is a candidate for the SB let alone playoffs. It's been stated by others on this board and is something my cousin and I have both said. Gotta see what Croyle can do. See if is the QBoTF. If in fact he does look like he could lead this team for 6-8 years or more then they'll know they need something other than a QB in the upcoming draft. (like an OL position) Yes teams have won the SB with less than stellar play at the QB position those are few and far between. I would rather watch this team go 6-10 with Croyle than Huard at the helm.

I am as big of a :homer: as anyone. I think every play should be a TD for the Chiefs. That's not realistic, this year I am be realistic to myself and figured this is as good as any year to rebuild with our QBOTF. We have too many holes to fill and our rookie stud WR is a "ROOKIE". I wanted Croyle to start from the beginning so he can develop with the stud rookie WR D Bowe. This would pay off in huge dividends for years to come.

We as a team are not as good as the elite teams, Colts, Patriots, Stealers, that is just a few in the AFC that are perinial playoff and SB continders. We as a team are not that good let alone the Coaching staff.

I want this team  to win a Super Bowl ASAP but I want them to do it right and not just pretend to be continders with an 11 year career back up QB. I want them to honestly make an effort to build us a championship team and I am willing to take the lumps this year and some more growing pains if necessary next year to get it right.

If the old geezer vets on this team don't produce at the end of this season and don't want to be apart of this team growth then they can take a hike. It's about producing on the field and getting better as a team. We are regressing as a team with Huard as our QB. JMHKCCFO

Sure, if we had a running game that scored at least 30.

This is 30 yards, isn't it... So sad how far we've fallen.

I know of a team in Wisconsin who are pretty damn glad they stuck it out with the guy who owns those stats.

But back to the question.....

I would want him to come back for a 3rd year. The problem is that the organization probably wouldn't. They would give up on the kid because he didn't produce immediate results like a Brady or Roethlisberger.

Honestly, it would probably be best for Brodie's career to leave KC at that point anyway, assuming we still have this offensive staff around.

The kid is a good QB coach away from having a productive career, IMO.

I think thats slowly changing. Carl has had the wool pulled over most people eyes for many years, but i think the majority now feel his act is about 5-10 years past its fresh date.

His release gives him a greater advantage over huard for sure, and Damon is either hot/cold. this season is over, let's see what croyle can do

I agree.

I was sitting 8 rows back at the end Brodie started his first drive, and the majority of the people around me gave him a standing O as he came on the field.

Mistakes or not, I think there are a lot of folks who want to see this kid play.

They are the numbers of that big corn fed boy Favre. I want to be clear I am not in any way comparing Croyle to Favre just trying to point out if indeed the Chiefs do start Croyle he's gonna make some mistakes. If he learns from his mistakes he could be a QBoTF if not well then Chiefs will know what they need to do next year in the draft or free agency.

They'll all boo his ass unmercifully when he throws an interception or goes three and out. Half the fans at Arrowhead are ****ing morons.
