What a meat sack. :shake:

What was all the crap about, there was not a replay on TV at all. Was anything talked about on the radio?

The lack of a replay was ridiculous. Show what happened. The lack of one kinda makes me think Sapp was just responding to something TJ did and that's why he was upset. 'Cause if Sapp was clearly in the wrong, why not show it?

I haven't seen him back out on the field. Looks like he got benched.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised with the emergence of Brackenridge that Sapp gets his ass cut this week.

I have the game on, but missed it...luckily i'm recording it, so if nobody explains it i'll go back, find out & let you know.

There werent any flags on cincy, so i think Benny simply lost his cool over something petty.

He can take his little ass on home.

I thought he was going to get booted for touching the ref. Anyone else see that?

Yeah I seen him slap the refs hands away. Real classy.

Edit: I see he's back on the field.

I guess because the ref was reaching up as if to touch him he decided to let it go, but if I was ref I probably would have tossed him anyway.
I've liked him till now but if he's gonna act like that then toss his dumb thug ass.

when it happened, i replayed it a few times
all i could see is he got called for holding but he didn't hold. in fact, the receiver held a bit. couldn't make out anything else

there had better be a real good reason for it

He got called for D Holding on the same play.....Odds are he didn't like the call and Housh said something to him which the Bengals WR's purposely do to try to get you to react.....

Sapp was probably pissed at getting a penalty on 3rd and long and TJ likely messed with him...

WTF?

Surely it was something more serious than that.

sapp has been a gritty player for the chiefs. Hopefully people don't jump on him that much. The same kind of fire that hurt him today helped that undrafted free agent make the team so many times. Hopefully he learns that it isn't all about him and he learns before he gets cut. Luckily for him he is about all we have back there at corner He should know how to play nickle dime and regular corner so he is pretty hard to replace

Sapp's behavior was inexcusable today.
Screaming on your own teammates when they're looking out for you, and more importantly the team, is insane.

He blew a gasket and should publicly apologize.

He just wouldn't calm down and gave a bunch of his teammates on the sidelines lip service after HE committed a penalty.

How about no call for offensive holding or illegal use of the hands? Housh-your-mama does that, and gets away with it, as he's a favored receiver. I think demonpenz has it right, and posted a euphemism for STFU. Hope y'all enjoy your boxes of whine with your dinners.

Just seeing all his team mates kept trying to pull him off of even his team mates was so freaking stupid....I don't know how many times the Chiefs team keep him from being an ass! He should he been yanked....IMO...

I couldn't tell what happened, either. But, when Donnie Edwards tried to get him off the field, he almost started fighting with him, then Jared Allen came and escorted him to the sideline, and Benny got jumpy with Jared. Then Brian Waters got up and chewed Sapp's ass. I said, "Watch it, Sapp... Waters eats more than you weigh for breakfast!" Waters could have tossed him all the way into the locker room from the sideline.

And if you wanna fight Waters, go ahead... see how that works out for ya.

Totally unprofessional and uncalled for.

I doubt sapp gets cut. Who else are you going to bring in that can play all the DB positions and has the experience he has. Edwards is a players coach, Sapp is experienced knows many positions, and edwards was DB so he knows the frustrations. I like the firedupness. Just direct it towards the other team. I think people are going overboard on the whole deal. You get pissed off playing football shit happens. Learn you can do shit like that and move on. Now if he does it again you have to look at dropping him

The players out there with high stakes millions of un garenteed dollars on the line in a game that millions watch and every down you have the possibility to be injured, paralized or killed. No one likes being disrespected infront of everyone. I think people are going overboard because the chiefs seem to have mostly good character people. The truth is you need some guys who are bordering on out of control. Especially if your an undersized dude like sapp. You better have a whole bunch of crazy in you to beat and bang with big Wideouts

i just get the feeling that something happened earlier on a previous play or something; and the flag was the straw that broke the camels back. that seemed very out of character. and he reacted so out of control, i have to think someone was trying to cheap shot him or something... there has to be a reason for it?

I had to listen to this on the radio. Is there a video clip on this?

Herm said after the game that he told the ref to toss him. He said after Sapp calmed down, he put him back in.

Really couldnt tell what happened. Did see Donnie Edwards get him off to the sideline and then he threw his helmet. Then he pushed one of the coaches couldnt tell from where I was sitting, then Waters and some other lineman grapped him by the cornrows and pinned him by the bench.

basically Sapp had a total meltdown after he was called for Def holding. he had to be dragged off the field and was called for a personal foul. he really should have probably been ejected, but he got away with it. every 'leader' player on our team made a cameo trying to get him off of the fields and settled down

Yeah, Sapp got all the face time on camera and the CBS humps didn't show a replay at all. As if it wasn't bad enough having to listen to Rich Gannon for three hours. :shake: That guy is about as dry as a Nevada summer.

I liked Waters' leadership during that incident, along with Donnie Edwards.

According to Rhonda Moss this morning on 610, there's some kind of special relationship between Waters and Sapp based on what she sees in the locker room. She didn't really elaborate, but she said Waters' dressdown of Sapp was like a big brother yelling at his little brother.

PS: There was no gay innuendo in Moss' comments just for the record.

[QUOTE]Chiefs game buzz: Kick Sapp out?

Coach wants to kick him out?

After Chiefs backup cornerback Benny Sapp drew two penalties — a holding call and a personal foul — on the last play of the first quarter, coach Herm Edwards asked the officials whether they wanted to eject him.

“(The official) said, ‘I can’t kick him out,’ and I said, ‘You should,’ ” Edwards said. “I talked to Benny and said, ‘You can’t do that.’ ”

Sapp rode the bench for a while, “but as the game got going, I felt a guy who kept rubbing on me, and it was Benny. I said, ‘Ok, you’re sorry, I forgive you, you go back and play now.’ ”/QUOTE]

I'm not sure why some folks are hating on Sapp. He's been a disciplined and strong player for us for at least a couple of years now, so this is obviously some sort of unusual occurrence.

I watched the DVR of that play a couple times once I got home. It happens fast but I think what I see, is what appears to be TJ's hands around Sapp's neck area. Either the lower face mask or the collar of his shoulder pads. There seemed to be a downward pulling motion from TJ as they go off the screen. I can't guarantee it, but that was my impression last night.

If he pulled him down by his face mask, I would think that would set him off, especially if he got called for holding.

His behavior has pretty poor. However, this is the first time for something like this with Sapp. He's been a pretty solid nickel back for KC and been very disciplined. I imagine Housmas&$SUDF(@@@~!!! started to get under his skin, and when the ref called a questionable holding penalty (that could have gone either way), I imagine he just lost it.

It happens every now and then. To suggest he should get cut is asinine. I'm sure he'll apologize and make nice-nice with all the necessary people.

If this were a regular thing for him, then, yeah, he'd be in danger of getting cut. But, the reality is that he won't, nor should he.
