The Defense Kicked Ass Today!

We shut down 2 of the top 5 receivers in the game. We were all over Palmer with our front 4. The score was closer than the game I thought.


I will hand it to Gun, he has the defense playing very well.

We didn't shut down anyone, but the Bengals had tons of chances to get back in the game and the defense stopped them when it mattered. Great job.

I'm about 5 minutes away from the end of the 3rd quarter, and it's about as dominant a defensive performance as I can remember up to this point.

4th quarter must get interesting. Knowing the final score, when I saw it was 20-7 at halftime, I thought to myself "this is going to be one long, boring second half". ROFL

They DID put pressure on Palmer in the first half, get some timely turnovers and made some great stops on 3rd and short.

The defense played fine today, but they hardly 'shut down' the passing game.

whoseyourmomma had 142 yards and 2 TD's. Chiefs didn't shut him down. Palmer still had 320 yards passing and the total offense yard Bengals had was greater than what the Chief had. Dominated? don't think so.

the bengals got half of there yardage with their last two possessions. The defense played great. The offense on the other hand did not. We try to run the clock out with 6 run plays in a row (two separate possessions, 3 and out both times) with this offensive line? What the hell was herm/solari thinking?

Again, defense did its job for well over most of the game. We shut down the bengals offense when it mattered. Thats a good offense, we really held them to 10 pts. those TDs they had at the end were pretty much 'gimmes'...
